It's made for Japan where Pro will have less appeal than in west and standard Slim will be the main selling sku.
Slim will be the main selling SKU worldwide, but a special edition console playing the inferior version of the game it's designed for isn't really all that special.
It's Japan, they don't care a lot about hd console gaming in general. Pro will likely be a flop there, it also costs a lot, higher than PS4 at launch. Focusing on the Slim is the obvious decision to sell more consoles.
I'm not Japan though. I'm me and to me this is a dud
I won't be adding it to the special editions I already own.

If I saw right the price for this Special Edition is the same as Pro in Japan. So it's really a waste of money IMO.

Y'all think this looks good? Put it in the pile of trash SE PS4s. The moon is cut of on all sides and again, looks like they just slapped a design with a filter on the PS4 and called it a day. Just like the Uncharted one. Pathetic, man.
Yeah, just a shame it isn't a Pro, very weird they're not trying to promote Pro, and more the Slim. May have got one if it was, but even then, would be a bit annoying as I'd have to transfer everything and etc. on the same day as FFXV, so I'd probably prefer the Pro before FFXV tbh.
One thing though is it seems the slim has a glossy top, compared to matt, so that's kinda cool.

They didn't announce any PS4 Pro Special Edition for any game.
It includes the game, kingslaive and 1 TB
Oh still too expensive Pro is also 1TB.
