Enhanced Steam says I have $72 in cards to get, but I don't like wrecking my hours played/recently played lists and just thinking of listing thousands of cards... i suppose I should just bite the bullet while there is a glitch though rather than have it take longer without.

You might try Odallus: The Dark Call. I dunno about Castlevania, but it certainly fits in with other b-tier NES games.

Thanks for the recommendation, picked this up in a trade cheap and have played a couple hours. Simpler combat as it's outright trying to recreate that era, but the level design is very good and everything controls well. Definitely going to finish, nice game.

I felt this way too until I realized Steam wrecks time played by itself anyway

Hello SteamGAF! What's your opinion on Sleeping Dogs? I was thinking about getting it since it's discounted but I got mixed opinions from some friends about the game.

It's really good. One of the more enjoyable open world games I have played in quite some time.

It's a good game that's worth playing. I might go back and replay it soon.

I had a lot of fun with it. Some of the medals/achievements aren't really worth it, but the storyline and side missions are solid.

It's a great, fun game that is only held back by the lack of a sequel.

Be sure to buy the Monkey King skin for maximum style. It endures as one of the only cosmetic DLCs I've legitimately enjoyed in my gaming career.

One of my favorite games last gen. You'll definitely get your money's worth.

Yeah I recall most of SteamGAF loved/liked Sleeping Dogs.

it's basically GTAV but interesting

Wow, I wasn't expecting so much recommendations. I'm definitely getting it, then. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Speaking of Sleeping Dogs, is the Definitive Edition the real definitive edition?

Or will I be better off with the original? I already have some DLCs.

Haven't played it, only the original, but IIRC Definitive was kind of like Deus Ex: HR's Definitive: plagued by comparatively poorer performance and some issues, and overall not "definitive" at all. Though it did include all of the DLC patched in.

Since it's the only version available now, it's better than nothing. And performance issues are probably less of a problem now due to stronger hardware.

Sleeping Dogs was a great game. A lot of fun.

I downloaded it the other day to play through it again but then noticed it didn't have steam cloud :(

I'll hold out for a sale someday and just pick up the definitive edition. I think it'll be better to replay it that way instead.

As a matter of fact, Sleeping Dogs Deathinitive Edition is -75% off right now on Steam.

And if you've seen some of Wei Shen's melee combos, you know why it is the true Deathinitive video game.

Still way too much. I remember trading 1 tf2 key for the vanilla version back when trading was for cool.

Fallout 4 + Franchise Book + Soundtrack (Physical, Steam) = £9.99

I'm just being a snarky ass, but the game really does deserve all the praise it gets. The rhythm based combat in it is still an all time favorite of mine, even over the Arkham games, and it is one of the few open world games in recent memory where I didn't get tired of after a few hours. Only thing I can't vouch for is the story, because I played it during the weird time in my life where my english still wasn't good enough for me to understand most of what was said, so I skipped all cutscenes and dialogues and just played the game while listening to podcasts.

I've never liked the photography mechanic of the Bioshock games. It's just busy work, and you have to do it on the harder difficulties to even have a shot at killing enemies. (Hard is more or less normal/veteran difficulty in most games)

And the
chemical thrower
is pretty shit, at least without the upgrades. The damage is so low considering the rarity/crafting cost of the ammo.

I would not have given a thumbs-up and said that the game was boring (need to sleep), optimization is poor, banal plot, no choice of during dialogues, slow pace.

This is why people shouldn't trust Google Translate too much :p
The reviewer never said the game was boring to him. Here is the correct translation:

"I've played only for about an hour, since i need to sleep now, but i've already got some impressions. I mostly like this game, but i have some issues with it.
1. Optimisation is not perfect. Nothing major, and it's certainly not on the level of the latest Batman, or even Deus Ex, but there are some FPS dips.
2. I'm not far into the story (just left the hospital), but if it continues to stick to the rails it is on right now, i'll be disappointed with this banal plot. I hope for some plot twists later in the game.
3. So far, you can only speak with other characters about only one topic.
4. Generally slow pace. I undertand that this is a feature, but it's somewhat dull."

So, basically, this person liked the game despite some of the issues with it - and i see nothing wrong with giving a positive review on that basis, while still mentioning the issues this game has.

Why didn't put this together sooner? Guess I need to hand in my robes.

Yep. Full units, Tuesdays and Thursdays all day and work the rest of the week. Good times.

Sadly it's Pomona and not San Luis Obispo, but it's still a really great university. Just much more annoying to get around in thanks to the 60 Fwy being a nightmare all the time.

That rhytm based combat looks appealing, I just watched some videos and it seems like it's a lot of fun!

God damn DOOM is pretty, I thought the PS4 version looked good this on some next level shit.

Damn, shit's beautiful.

Forza Horizon 3 seems to be another QUALITY UWP port:

Some dips below 60fps, sometimes 30fps. Running on 1080, 4770k @ 1200p on ultra.
Additional hitching.
I switched from 3440x1440 to 1024x768 and my frame rate is exactly the same
Jesus christ that CPU botteneck

Was 50-80 Ultra (minus msaa) depending on where I am
Switching to cockpit increased my frame rate by 10 on average
I have hyper threading disabled

GTX 1080
16GB DDR3 2133Mhz
i7 2600k @ 4.3GHz
Installed on a Samsung Evo 850
The game is unplayable for me. I tried dropping the settings even down to low and I'm getting 20-35 fps, stuttering like crazy. I'm playing at 1080p with a gtx 1060 3gb, fx-8320 @ 4ghz, and 16 GB of ram. I know my specs aren't amazing but cmon. There's no reason I shouldn't be getting better performance than on Xbox one except that this port is ass

Forza Horizon 3 seems to be another QUALITY UWP port:

they definitely should have had the PC demo ready before launch instead of waiting until after (and there's no set time on that so it could end up being a while)...could have helped identify issues that could have been fixed before release

Random thought:

Playing Alpha Protocol for the first time and this game is fucking awesome. Just got to Moscow. That Obsidian writing is shining through as I expected it to.

It's a game I revisit every year! It's so fun to change playstyles and alliances every time. It is really an underappreciated gem of a game and still wish obsidian and sega would talk and make either a sequel or spiritual successor (along with binary domain).

Alpha Protocol doesn't get the love it deserves; it's phenomenal. Steven Heck is Nolan North's best character bar none.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
I wonder if EA will pull the trigger and publish it on Steam.

Edit: They were working on it... Who knows what happened.

Not for the time being. None of EA's GOG releases on Steam. The only reason its classic games are on GOG at all is that CDPR agrees to look into making older titles modern OS-friendly in exchange for temporary exclusivity.
