Square hasn't been good at all with this game for choosing demo sections outside duscae haven't they?
The demo was yeah. I'm annoyed it wasn't for a main story beat. Something with a crescendo. Instead it felt like downtime :/
Yeah. Even the platinum demo as thrown together as it was, was more exciting than what I played at egx.

The demo at EGX is a chunk from 1-2 hours into the main game, FWIW. It's the first moment the game opens up with some sidequests or the ability to wander anywhere (or, well, anywhere within a specific/restrained area), so your mileage will really vary depending on what you choose to do.

Weird thing to note, but you probably wouldn't want to. With Stamina/running, if you let go of circle and then press again right as the stamina bar is about to fully deplete, Noct will flash green and the entire bar will refill, which means with delicate timing/paying attention you can essentially sprint forever, which feels pretty vital when traversing parts of the world when there's no Chocobos nearby, given you can't take the car off-road. (Unless this has been changed since last month). This means it's ideal to have the bar present so you can watch it, as there's no other visual indication of when the insta-refill is briefly available.
