Trump got absolutely annihilated. How can anyone say otherwise? I know no one here is saying Trump won, but how can anyone say that anywhere and be genuine? Madness.

My dad wants to watch this tomorrow and I'm curious to see what he thinks as he's a Trump supporter. I really hope this does some damage to him because of not then I'll be very, very sad.

Lester pretty much every time Trump was like "that's not true":

REMINDER
We realize politics can make emotions run high, but being mad at a presidential candidate in a debate is NOT a reason to call 911.

Do you understand now?

If I try to look at the debate objectively, on race, NATO, and women I think Donald faltered pretty badly, but otherwise I think he was basically winning each topic. I'd say the debate was probably a tie, if not slightly in Trump's favor.

I know the left thinks Hillary eviscerated Trump, but heartland people are going to see him as mostly being strong and his attempts to paint her as squandering her experience in politics were probably successful.

But Trump crumbled. His conviction went along with it. He was told that he was wrong many times. And in a debate, you are about as strong as your presence. He dropped it.

Additionally, for presidential debates, things like fact checks matter, so the moment-to-moment is as important as how correct a candidate is.

Trump failed to look presidential. He probably failed in convincing people that he can run a country. His supporters will still vote for him, but the undecided are going to swing in Hillary's favor.

Hello, my name is Yves Guillemot, Vivendi S.A.'s Employee of the Month!
Exactly why I think he didn't do too bad, Hillary needed to go in harder and I don't think she did IMO.
Can you attempt to elaborate on what he possibly meant by "she doesn't have the stamina to be president?" Or the implications of "they're BAD PEOPLE" in response to "that's racial profiling" along with "stop and frisk should come back." Please proceed.

My thoughts.

Trump: Better debater, more charismatic, more suitable for foreign policy. His domestic policies would be disgusting.

Hillary: More sane, totally better at domestic policies. She never wanted to address Trump head on though which worries me.

Conclusion: I still don't like either candidates.

You'd have to not know what a debate is to think trump is a good debater.

He isn't coherent, at all. How can you come to this conclusion? If debating is based on expressing ideas clearly, how has trump won that?

He just says loud things. Which works for our dumbass country, but this isn't a good debate.

Overall, I think AC360 and Chris Wallace will do a much better job controlling Trump. Holt did well at times but got ran over by Trump too many times.

He didn't even win the beginning. He just didn't say crazy shit, which leads me to believe that if he does that the entire next debates they will say he won

Yeah I agree. Not sure what debate all these analysts were watching, he was barely keeping his legs under him at the beginning. It's infuriating how wildly different the standards are

Meanwhile Hillary is criticized for smiling too much, then immediately criticized for smiling too little

I think you missed out his terrible foreign talking points. Like, China/Iran invading North Korea and that whole nonsense about Japan.

I liked the part where a Presidential candidate sandwiched some incoherent racist rant about the importance of Law and Order in between callous disregard of contract law and a dismissal of the judicial system and the constitution.
