I'm too shocked at the Dugtrio with a wig pic to have a propper debate with you.

I'm staring at the pic and I'm trying to figure this out. What type is it? I need to know what that wig does for Dugtrio? Boost its confidence?

It should just except its loss to male pattern baldness like the rest of us!

80 is a pathetic amount of new Pokemon especially after the abysmal amount in X/Y.

It's because the developers/artist consider megas and alolan new pokemon/content that they must churn out. Of course, if you're adding new formes, it's going to reduce what players traditionally hold as the new pokemon count. This should have been expected the moment Alolan formes were announced. It would be even less "new Pokemon" if new Megas were added as well.

I don't think its possible to call it. I recently heard another rumor that there's 143 new pokemon. So, drawing conclusions right now is not exactly a good idea.

They've finally brought back Night/Day themes from D/P/Pt which is great. There's a good amount of detail to the environments, lots of cute animations, the presentation overall is excellent and definitely equals Yokai Watch.

As for Alolan Dugtrio I friccin love it. At first I was kinda disappointed they didn't give it a "proper" one but if it's Ground/Water then it's all good cuz that's a rad type.

"Stakeout- Doubles the damage dealt to the target's replacement if the target switches out.""

I was able to move the Z ring to the free items pocket (or what the name was), i suppose you can move any item there for easy access.

Pikachus Z move did not show any acc which was wierd imo.

Also now I'm convinced that the "only two more Alolan forms" thing is just in the demo. Why would there not be an Alolan Graveler? I can see them maybe skipping Alolan Geodude but I can't see them liking the idea of a three stager having only one Alolan form in it.

I'm excited to see Alolan Golem! I'll definitely play the demo now just because of those mystery events :eek:

I think Yungoos's ability was just unclear but now it just sounds like it makes every move into Pursuit.

I just don't like needless cynicism. I'm skeptical of 143 too. Sprites with relatively limited animations were likely much easier to create than high quality Pokemon models with multiple animations in both battles and Refresh (and Pokefinder for S/M).

I'm sticking to my guess of 102 new folks.

Raichu is the only one in it's three stage line getting an Alola form

Granted, one of those is a baby and the other is fuckin Pikachu so it's probably an exception, but still.

There is another event in 12 days. To celebrate a Pikachu's birthday with his trainer in the City Hall.

This is in addition to the events happening in 5, 18 and 24 days.

I don't know about a "guess" but my modest minimum hope is for ~120 new Pokémon and maybe ~30 or so Alolan forms. Honestly I could do with even more Alolan forms but I feel like the combined number being over 150 is me being greedy.

So maybe ~100 new Pokémon and ~50 Alolan forms? That would be preferable if there are non-Gen-I Alolan forms. Basically I just want ~150 combined.

102 would be a fine number. I'll admit I'd like more but if there are plenty of Alolan forms I would be pretty satisfied with 102 new ones.

Ah shit I forgot. Yeah it seems like they don't wanna change first forms somewhat arbitrarily, because I think Cubone and Exeggcute would make great Alolan forms but whatever.

But I have a hunch that Geodude's whole line is getting Alola'd if Golem is. That assumption is based on the theory that only Pokémon appearing in the demo are in the data tho. I think they'd want to give Graveler one I think, and even Geodude (even though that's the one I can see them skipping just because they've skipped other first forms).

Eeeeee okay now I'm feeling better. It would make sense for them to scrub the Alolan forms as well as they did the rest of the dex.

EDIT: just managed to enter, but the demo isn't up yet on the Canadian store. Oh well, I'll have to try again tomorrow night.
