Upcoming Vita Games (200+ Upcoming games in ENGLISH) || 2016 Edition ||

Man, that looks great. I'd buy an English Asia release... I'd much rather have that than the random Dynasty Warrior imports I got for collecting's sake.

Still stinging from Attack on Titan, though.

I'd rather have had Attack on Titan physical than any of the Koei-Tecmo games I've imported, lol.

Playing a bit the japanese version of Sword Art Online Hollow Realization and the performance is really that bad. Like sub 20fps in combat all the time with terrible pop in. Mobs appear direct in front of me. It looks and runs worse than the previous games. The PS4 version in comparison looks surprisingly decent though.

Ugh :(. That is a damn shame.....hope they update the game post launch or something with a patch that fixes frame rate on Vita.

I'm thrilled that we're getting another Science Adventure game in the west, yet I can't help but be a little sad it's not Chaos;Head or Robotics;Notes and that they're likely lost to time barring a PS4 port.

I guess I'll have to play the fan translation of Head before Child releases.

I suspected as much based on all the feedback I'm hearing. And this is the version that's going to sell most in Japan by some margin; plus the version that's propped up the sales of the last two releases. GG Bamco.

I just noticed this on the back of Yomawari.

Double the violence too! If anyone actually wanted to know, "sang" is the word for blood in French while violence is the same thing in both languages. What is says is:
Blood (English)
Violence (English)
Blood (French)
Violence (French)

dallow_bg

nods at old men
That's just the french description for Canada/Quebec. Unless I'm missing something else

Oh gosh. You guys are right.
Lol.

I should have noticed.

That makes a lot of sense; the violence being repeated twice is due to translating the 'Slag' word for English readers.

In hindsight, I feel bad about my joke earlier :l.

SAO HR Vita gameplay.

I say this as someone who has a high tolerance for crappy Vita ports and can say, genuinely, that I had fun with the Jak ports on Vita - those FPS drops and that general, consistent lag look too much for me. Pass. Until it gets patched at least.

I just tweeted about this after reading your post......I'm fucking done with Bandai-Namco Games after this.

They know the SAO games sell best on the Vita and yet they never considered the Vita hardware when working on Hallow Realization. I was going to consider buying a copy of the game to review it on 3WIREL now and even make next month 'SAO Month' on the site with a SAO themed article every week (Hallow Fragment & Lost Song reviews, a piece on the Light Novel, ect). But dropping those plans now, if I can't even play the game I'm trying to hype my readers up for X(.

UGH X(! Bandai-Namco keeps fucking up this year and it is getting annoying. First Digimon, now this...... At least they did good and released the God Eater games :l.

Bamco are fine in my books. They've had some mis-steps recently, but no-one has supported Vita quite like them.

It helps that I like importing games and muddling through with google translate and their output in Japan is just stellar. I'll be getting Macross Delta Scramble and World Trigger Borderless Mission after Christmas.

I don't know....it's just frustrating to see such a great Vita supporter fuck up so much lately with supporting the platform. I don't import, so I guess I'm not seeing the full picture on their part but it still sucks that they mess up on Vita recently with Next Order and the performance of Hallow Realization.

Even if you don't import, they're still the company who are bringing us 3 SAO games in English physically, regardless of performance. They localized an Asterisk War game (plus gave it a physical release in Asia); released two Gundam games in English with a third on the way; have a Super Robot Wars game releasing in English next year etc.

I mean, I'd prefer it if they didn't have the fuckups with Digimon & SAO, but at least they're still here and still (mostly) trying. Companies like Square Enix don't seem to get the same flak for ignoring the Vita version of Setsuna; leaving Romancing Saga 2 in flux after announcing it and skipping Vita for FF XII etc., 'cuz everyone's having a love affair with DQB and WoFF atm. As they should be, because they're great games!

Holy hell man. This is something I would expect from a no name indie dev, not fuckin Bandai Namco. There is no excuse for port quality as bad as this from them. I don't care how rabid your fanbase is for scraps and how some of them would buy literally anything, you should feel ashamed as a company to think this is acceptable for release.

Wait until you see the Media Create charts on Wednesday to see how much this has sold and likely outsold the PS4 version, too :p

Your post does a great job explaining why I am bitter about this. They shouldn't be doing this and I am very disapointed with them regarding how this version runs/plays.

And this is not even the only battle with such a low framerate... as I said before: Avoid at all costs. I support almost every Vita game, but not this. Thank god I didn't pay for the download code I got.

If the Vita version is going to run like this they should at least have deleted Silica from the game. And the whole game. But Silica first.

I want to announce that I am replacing my 'Month of SAO' idea with a 'Month of Oddworld', where I review every game in the series, write about the series history and cover a lot of fun articles about the franchise :).

Honestly wanted to sit down with the series and revisit it anyway (own all the games outside of the PS1 originals) so I want to give it justice and respect. Besides, they are on the Vita & PS3, so I have very easy access to them :D.

Good decision. I played a a bit of Hollow Fragment on PS4. Never touching that franchise again. lol.

Now it has been rated by PEGI too.

EDIT: It was officially confirmed by EKO a few days ago (how noone saw that tweet earlier?)

Well, that's cool. I have to wonder whether the only reason we're getting this on Vita is because Eko Software got a Vita dev kit in order to make Handball 16 and someone just fiddled around with getting this game onto it.

I kinda wish we were getting How to Survive as well though.

In other news, here's Atelier Firis Vita gameplay:

http://gematsu.com/2016/10/two-minutes-atelier-firis-ps-vita-gameplay

It's as choppy as you'd expect from Gust.

They took a big risk with Yomawari by putting it out at retail at $40, but they're also pretty much getting 2x the money from every physical copy sold.

Hard to say that it "underperformed" if you don't know their expectations!

How'd you figure the 2 x the money part? It was a full-price game in Japan right? Plus they're bundling in HTOL#NIQ.

It is a strange situation though, I'll admit.

They're selling it on PSN for $20, and the bundle for $30. They're definitely making sure there's a profit on physical.
