Yess! The mods have graced us with the correct name for Thor: The Dark World in a poll! No longer shall there be the ever nagging feeling of creeping doubt as I wonder: "Do they know it's not called Thor 2: The Dark World?"

Blizzard is dead. They quickly should go mobile or at least multiplatform with all their games
They do create good games but still stick with their old habits. They need to expand

wow, man! legion is great, and seems to only be getting better. paladin mount.

Again, Druid's are winning this expansion. It's like a love letter from blizzard and I will take it all with a huge smile on my face. Poor paladin's though, same with mages.

So what did you mean? Are you implying Blizzard has never released anything good so expecting it from them is pointless?

I mean that they haven't released anything good since wc 3 basically yes. they missed the mark with sc2, diablo 3 was imo a disaster and ever since their focus seem to be on exploiting users. I'll grant you that overwatch isn't a bad game but I can't support it by principle due to the unethical monetization.

I dont know I have more hope for blizzard now, those post WoW years were kind of barren. But then Titan shit the bed, and Hearthstone showed them they didnt need to didnt need a huge ass team spending years making AAAA games.

So now that starcraft 2, and diablo 3 are pretty much over, hopefully we get smaller more frequent games from blizzard.

Hahahahahaha is all I can say. Opinions are a grand thing.

But surely you know that you are in a minority with that line of thinking, yes?
And if I'm going to be honest your original post just look like, and probably is, a troll post. Because it makes no sense at all.

I don't know if I'm in the minority but overall I feel like many have been progressively more disappointed with Blizzard over the last decade. I get that people like overwatch and might not care about the exploitative monetization as long as they are having fun - and that's fine - but that people actually defend the practice is just baffling to me.

I can't say I care about what you think about Overwatch's loot boxes, the problem people had was that you came into this thread and made a nonsense post that can't really be seen as anything other than trolling.

Why would people expect good things from Blizzard? Their track record speaks for itself, whether you like the games or not.

But you explicitly stated that they dropped the ball since WC3, which is fine for an opinion on your own video game tastes but the sale numbers say otherwise on all their titles since then. WoW, Diablo 3, Overwatch, Hearthstone, StarCraft 2 and HotS are all extremely popular.

In before people say the last two are dead, citing Twitch viewership and memes.

Yes, you're in the minority if you hold the opinion that Overwatch's monetization is exploitative.

- StarCraft 2 will be getting a Watch tab similar to Dota 2 where you can watch games live.

This is fucking huge, also better late than never

When all your pro korean teams disband and the pro league shuts down for a game who's very future relies on it's competitve scene then yes, you have a dead/dying game
The proleague has never been big in Starcraft 2, they throw their opportunity with it when they decided to stick with *only* Brood War for 5 more years after a decade, and that's only because they were basically monetizing with iccup and such. Nah, there are A LOT of reason behind the proleague shutdown, the game's appeal to the mass isn't one of them

I think they had really good announcements in general but really poor announcements for Diablo. Overwatch, HotS, HS, and WoW got a lot of neat stuff and details about upcoming changes and improvements. Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 are clearly on their way out and there isn't a replacement product anytime soon, but at least they didn't tease this Blizzcon as a big Starcraft Anniversary one. :p

If you don't play any of Blizzard's current games and only wanted a Diablo 4 announcement it's probably very disappointing, otherwise it was a fine Blizzcon.

Overall I'm very happy with it. Was disappointed by the opening ceremony, and still feeling a little disappointment with the Diablo stuff, but being a fan of every game except Hearthstone I'm excited by all the content that was shown. A lot of cool stuff coming especially to WoW. Ragnaros in HotS is something I've wanted for a long time so that's great. The esports events all seemed to go pretty smoothly too. SC2 final was the highlight for me, though it's a bit sad knowing next year's WCS probably won't be the same with the Kespa teams disbanding. Til next year~

On the StarCraft note, given they announced 5000 new forms of monetization for the game, I'm suspicious that they might be intending to make the multiplayer part f2p.

The tourneys were amazing though. I don't know if I would consider this the "worst" Blizzcon, but even if I were, it was still pretty good.

PS: I'm a home spectator, and didn't buy the virtual ticket.

It definitely looked pretty bad.

It feels like Activision turned Blizzard into several teams of skeleton crews, barely able to make anything exciting, after Titan failed.

I'm into HOTS so I liked what they announced there. The new characters look good and creative and the other details from the panel are great.

Haven't played WoW since Cata and don't play Hearthstone/Starcraft so no comment on those.

D3, Necromancer is cool but the entire free update seems really weak. Paying for Necro on his own is also...eh. Much would have preferred a full expansion.

Sombra in OW is fucking terrible. They teased her for months with a terrible ARG that went nowhere even though everyone fucking knew and that's the only new character revealed, I hate her visual design, and she's a stealth character (which Blizz said they wouldn't do and now are doing with only the second additional character) which has serious potential to ruin the game.

Also, the "Boop" thing was literally manufactured to be a meme and people are playing into it...why?

Dubai map looks cool at least.

I'd say for the 3 games I play/care about I'm overall disappointed. HOTS continues to be pretty good though with the developers proving they care at least.

Lol what? Legion has been so full of content I'm losing my mind playing it. It's literally brimming with content and the community is freaking out with the quantity and quality being put out at such a rapid pace.

Well, this was the standard for "dead game," so I can see why WoW would look like it's on life support:
