Obama says he was 'encouraged' by conversation with Trump

Going from Obama to Trump

That's like telling your supermodel girlfriend you can only stay with her for 8 years and then after that you have to ditch her to start fucking with a fucking cactus

And Bush was actually a compassionate, thoughtful, sincere Christian. Not the narcissistic sociopath that Trump so clearly is.

Bush-Miss-Me-Yet.jpg

I sure as hell do.

That's what I think a lot of people on the winning side don't quite understand. If this were a president Romney, or McCain, or even Bush, I might not agree with their policies but at least, in a broad sense, I would trust them to lead the country. Trump just scares me.

Weren't journalists and cameras there to record it? Can we just see it?

You can see their closing comments, but they met for a 10-15 minute private chat and it ended up being one and a half hours. We can only speculate as to why.

Weird to think that all those crazy conspiracies about a lizard race or shadow council of "real" power forcing world leaders to do their bidding would actually be comforting if it were true...

Respectfully, Obama's fatal flaw is he keeps trying to see the good in people.

How'd that work out with Comey or the GOP in congress?

Dude looked like it hurt to even talk about this. Like a real wtf moment.

He obviously said that not to scare the fuck out of people

On the plus side, Trump doesn't look happy either. I expected a smug, shit-eating grin on his face.
Because he realized he just took one of the most stressful ass jobs in the world

I mean, he wasn't going to say "HEAD TO THE BUNKERS FOLKS! THIS DUDE'S NUTTIER THAN SQUIRREL SHIT!"

He has to try to calm the nation.

I mean, good luck with that, but he has to try.

It's easy to be smug from afar. Not so easy one on one in a room.

Also Obama probably just told him how much he's going to hate this job.

Turns out "The Thing" was a documentary, and made a deal to only eat one person every 4-8 years.

Apparently the office of President changes those who hold it; we can only hope that will happen to Trump. I trust Obama so this is a good sign.

Obama would say that he was encouraged no matter what was actually said. Think about this for more than a few moments.

lately all the Trump photos post elections have him in a sunken state lol

In all honesty, I don't think he expected to get this far. He hoped he would, but now that he has, he sees what the position entails and probably doesn't want any part of it. Like many have stated, I strongly believe that Pence will be the real President here.

Give up on the "maybe he's not so bad" stuff now. It was the same thing with Bush 43. A lot of talk about unity, but as soon as he got in office he started railroading through legislation on extremely divisive issues.

And Bush was actually a compassionate, thoughtful, sincere Christian. Not the narcissistic sociopath that Trump so clearly is.

To be fair, this is actually the only reason I hold out hope he will be reasonable. He has no convictions. He just wants to be popular. Bush had an ethos. Trump may just take the path of least resistance.

I believe it was the author of Art of the Deal who had to get to know Trump to write it, who said that Trump didn't truly want to win, that his real dream scenario would be to lose by one electoral vote or .1% of the popular vote, so that he could claim that it was rigged and he's the rightful winner and President forever, without having to actually be President.

It was supposed to be a 15 minute meeting but turned into 90 minutes. I think that is a very good sign.

The very best outcome is the following:

Obama is Shadow President. Trump has an earpiece every hour of everyday, and Barry is feeding him information and making decisions for him. Backed up by Jeb Bush and Diamond Joe, Trump actually becomes the Ultimate Puppet President*

* in this scenario, Putin does not exist.

Is it possible Trump being elected is saving the world from something worse? Like Putin would have started World War 3 or something instead?

I'm just tryng to make myself feel better a bit.

I cringed watching this. You can just feel how Trump knows he's completely out of his depth. It's awkward to watch him praise Obama after all the birther nonsense, tweeting he was the worst president ever etc.

Obama was being classy and a bro.

Instead of a 7/10 which is the other option she gave you. And for whatever reason your dumb ass chose the cactus (not personally you, lol).
This is my first time actually looking at the "final" map.

I'm not sure there's going to be any kind of widespread panic. That is one Red map. Even half of California is Red.

Wow
It's always quite red. Rural areas have a low population but lean heavily R and take up large swaths of land.
