my pc beats the recommended specs but that doesn't mean much since they didn't say what kind of performance it gives. hope i can do 1440p 60fp without having to turn many settings down. i don't care much for the gameworks settings.

It works a lot better in the context of the game's whole style, trust me. At first your eyes recoil but there's a lot of wit and swagger built into the UI.

The noises were so insanely positive in the OT that I double dipped and got it on PS4, too.

The game is fucking great.

Just hope the PC build is robust.

Apparently, the Origin version doesn't unlock in Australia until 7am PHT, which is 12-and-a-half hours away, so anybody with said version hoping for earlier access alongside Steam and Uplay users is out of luck. For those who belong to the latter group:

This, of course, assumes Ubi AU is properly informed. I'll create the PC performance thread after I've unlocked the game.

It's always a gray area. It breaks the TOS with most suppliers but it isn't something that people have actively been banned for or had purchases revoked. It's a different matter when buying through a VPN but unlocking I haven't heard of anyone who has been banned for doing so.

With dual authentication there is a chance your account might get locked these days due to odd usage of your account but even that I haven't heard of many people having issues.

And how this works when i try to unlock the Game early via VPN , will i get banned then or will my order canceld? Because i not payed for it yet.

In theory, yes; in practice, however, Valve only cares if you're using a VPN to engage in cross-region purchasing on the Steam Store itself or skirt region restrictions on gifts specifically.

It unlocked just now in South-east Asia. I had a feeling Ubi AU would be wrong. To unlock it via VPN:

1) Log out of the Steam mobile app and change your password via the the desktop client
1) Download and install FlyVPN (20-minute session limit) TunnelBear (500MB data limit), VPN Gate (no hard limits) or VyprVPN (500MB bandwidth limit).
3) Connect to a server in South-east Asia
4) Restart Steam (if you're logged in)
5) Unlock the game
6, optional) Switch to Offline Mode to preserve the "Play" button as it will revert back to "Pre-load" once you're no longer connected to the VPN (even if you disconnect mid-game, you won't be booted out)

Yep. When I click on it, it has the loading symbol but nothing happened. Maybe the game needs to be installed? It says 8hrs to unlock.


Looks like it's going to unlock 7am my time. So much for 12:01am as stated by Ubisoft Australia!
