It's crazy to see so many people in here not having any luck canceling their pre-order. I was able to have my order canceled upon hearing about the original delay. All it took was a single message to their support and they canceled it on the spot.

Good news. You can cancel! Forget their small print, you do have rights as a consumer. I cancelled my order, and posted more details up the thread. Don't be held to ransom by this company.

I find it funny that they even struggled to get the numbers on the LE vinyl, and that was before there were all these people cancelling because of the ridiculous delays.

Honestly, I would not be surprised if it never happens, given I doubt they'd reach the numbers needed to do a production run (and break even). Can only guess the delays could be in part to hoping more people jump in on preorders to balance the books, but the number of orders can only be decreasing by now.

Damn. I'm hoping that Sony never lets iam8bit ever publish anything again. This delay is garbage. If it wasn't for one of my favorite games ever, I would have cancelled long ago.

Cool, glad to finally hear some good news on the shipping front.

At this point I'm just wondering what their plans are for the digital soundtrack? As a reminder:
We’ve found ourselves in the midst of a music rights glitch regarding the original soundtrack to Rez. Digital download music rights are viewed very differently in Japan, and unfortunately Enhance Games was unable to secure the digital rights to the original tracks in time for our production deadline. Enhance tried desperately to work this out, but simply couldn’t. Both iam8bit and Enhance are bummed about this, BUT we do have some positive updates below, which we think you’ll dig.

Although we couldn’t secure digital rights to the full album, we did manage to nab the new Area X tracks (which are featured on the 7" record).

Is the rest of the soundtrack simply not coming at this point? Are they still working on securing the rights? Getting the two Area X tracks and a remix is pretty cool and all, but I was sort of in on this for a nice new mastering of the full soundtrack.

That states digital releases. So I'd hope, or assume, that the full in game tracks from the entire game will appear on the vinyl.

Kind of bullshit though, they should've has this sorted before even advertising the preorder, let alone passing the original shipping date.

So basically, don't take anything iam8bit say at their word.

I really can't believe they left it until now to work that shit out. Very unprofessional. I'd cancel my order and demand a full refund if I had any pending orders with them, regardless of their policies. Thankfully though, I don't.

For something going for the collectors niche market and the 'infinite' possibilities of Rez artwork, coupled with the shitty wait to the point on PSN it's hitting the sales, that's the pure definition of weak cover art.

LETS PLASTER IT WITH VR SHIT, BECAUSE PEOPLE ORDERING THIS GAME THROUGH US WONT KNOW ABOUT THAT

Iam8bit strikes again. Fascinating how all the signs were there for so many to avoid them - previous offerings being delayed time and time again, baseless attempts to reject perfectly reasonable order cancellations for goods not delivered in a satisfactory time period... and yet people still went and put their blind trust in them.

Trash company that treats customers like trash. How they're still operating with any semblance of credibility escapes me.

They get nice exclusives like this one and become a defacto monopoly, a vertically integrated on too--marketing, distribution, etc.

You can't get Rez physical anywhere but them.

Of course. I'm a huge Rez fan, and they came so close to snaring me in... but the bad feedback combined with the ridiculous shipping costs for the game alone were enough of a warning to accept I wouldn't be buying it. I feel sorry for all those affected who either knew of Iam8bit's form and chose to order regardless, or those who didn't realise at all and are left with the now standard delays, weak excuses and downgrades to the originally advertised product they put their money down for.

I'm glad I looked at this thread lol was just on their website looking at buying a shirt or physical copy of the game but definitely not going to now.

I still haven't bought the game digitally, I really want to see it in 4K. Virtual reality too but I don't have a PSVR.

This is my first and last order from iam8bit. It's just been a disaster from start to finish. And man, they really just don't seem to give a shit. I was reading their Twitter feed and saw all sorts of snarky and half-assed replies to customers looking for answers. Fuck these guys.

It makes me wish Fangamer could swoop in and steal some of their business. I've ordered from those guys a few times and have had nothing but great service.

I hate it when bad licensors get exclusives like this but maybe it's the only way thi would happen. But at the same time. notLikeThis.gif

I think I am more offended at iam8bit putting their logo on the front cover than I am upset at the pointless VR logos.

I wouldn't say I'm not disappointed by the absence of a leaflet/manual, or by the cover which could have looked better, but I feel like you.

The price and shipping were roughly $15 too much considering the weakness of the content but I won't cancel for this.

As long as we end up receiving the game, I'll consider it a "mission complete". Not "gloriously complete", but whatever :x
I hope this kind of exclusivities goes to LRG or Fangamer in the future, though.

I thought the cover was going to be foil/holographic? Fucking sucks. I wanted to give them a chance too...lol


I will stick with my previous physical copies of Rez (DC,PS2,360)
