What gets me is that the duplicate for that is only 200, rather than the regular 500 for a dupe legendary. I guess due to the higher chance % of rolling those skins.

Yeah, it's the best emote. But as a Christmas legend, it's no Nutcracker or Yeti! Mostly just my dislike of Zarya, and utter shock at getting it minutes after dissing it. Then getting the only other 2 items I did not want.

With my bad luck of only getting Reaper and Zarya, I thought I had it bad.
Then I got a duplicate of Reaper.
Then I opened this.
I mean I guess it's funny in a really depressing way..really wanted Nutyatta or a Santa though..

On the bright side, I resigned myself to never getting two of the Mei's Snowball achievements, but I managed a miracle 4 kills in a single round..after 7 rounds of losing 1on1 pointblank misses.

200 is always what you get for a dupe legendary, sadly. 500 is for Legendary gold.

Friend and I were complaining about how we both got Christmas Mei despite sharing a hatred for Mei. Within 20 minutes we both get a second Christmas Mei. God dammit.

Since Zen is my dude I'll spend 3000 on Nutyatta if I don't get him by the end. I have my 3 weekly boxes to get, still.

Caved in and bought the 50 loot crate bundle for $40. Now I finally have all the costumes and special content minus the voice clips and sprays due to the crates and to the money I accumulated from repeats. I'm satisfied now but I will continue to try and get as much as I can.

Nutcracker is my favorute, but it definitely feels like it makes me a target.

Make sure you buy it early. The last few events, Blizzard disabled coin purchases about an hour early, but left real money purchases open I believe? Someone asked and was directed by Blizzard support to buy whatever they wanted with real money, even before the event was over.

Since the event was ending, I thought I'd just buy 11 boxes for the hell of it. The only thing of note was a Legendary Nutcracker Zenyatta, which I already had. The rest were pretty much blues. I should have know better! I did spend 3000 for Yeti Winston, he is glorious.

Doesn't mean there won't be anything soon, some have speculated lunar new year. Also they said there'd be events we wouldn't expect.

Opened 33 Boxes through leveling up and Arcade Mode and the only legendary I got was Zarya's Emote. No SantaClad or Elf Tracer makes me sad. I'll probably end up buying McCree's and Reaper's skins because they look cool and probably some lines and sprays because they're limited.

But overall, once I learned how to play Mei's Arcade Game it was a pretty fun event (my first one in Overwatch since I bought it during Black Friday) and ended up grabbing all the achievements.

I want that Mei santa costume so I can wear it ironically during summer, but no way in hell am I paying 3000 coins for it (although I do have about 4000 stored up at this point).

All things considered though, I did pretty well with the Christmas loot boxes. Got Reaper, Pharah, Roadhog and Zenyatta's festive skins, so that's not a bad turnout.

I got Lucio's skin in a box and bought Zarya's stuff with coins (besides the emote ) and those two are my mains so I'm not too bothered about the other stuff, Nutcracker Zen is pretty awesome though. Kinda wish I got that.

Tell me about it! It's the WORST!!!

I had so many teammates doing it yesterday. Really pissed me off in 3 vs. 3 Arcade, cause I routinely had a teammate screwing around with map hacks instead of fighting the other team.

I have shit luck with loot boxes. I never get the skins I want, but I'll get s ton of the ones I don't want. Got that dumbass tracer skin 4 times. Fortunately I'm at a place in the game where most of what I get from lootboxes is duplicates which can add up the credits quick.
