AMAZON US Switch up

Thanks! Finally Zelda Switch was back up for preorder.

How does Amazon normally handle game preorders? Do they deliver the day before or the day of?

It's bulgy in the mesh, but unless you have a screen protector it looks like it could scratch the screen? Unless you put it down screen-first.

The Hori case doesn't have this problem. Cancelled my order for that one and got it instead. It also has protection around the zipper so it doesn't scratch the system.

Wait...
Are people expecting a SOFTWARE shortage? Should I preorder Zelda, too? I've got a BB preorder in, but was just going to pick up a Pro Controller and Zelda when I picked up the console...

I mean you never know due it to being a big new title and all for a new console, but from my perspective, may as well have the game be delivered at the same time the console is...

Probably have far less to worry about though.

Never doubt Nintendo dude. I would just preorder if you want a physical copy, if not, it'll be there digitally I'm sure too.

Still says March 13 for Zelda special edition. I'm surprised how slow Amazon has been at updating all of the correct info on Switch items.

With Amazon Prime Zelda is less than $50 so I would buy from them anyway, shortage or no.

My 3DS case was made by Waterfield Designs, who makes the highest quality cases you can find by a huge margin.

They are still figuring out what they are going to do for Switch carrying cases, but they have a survey on their site where you can tell them what you'd want to see.

https://www.sfbags.com/pages/waterfield-nintendo-switch-case

Let them know that you want to see a form factor that fits the Switch without the Joy Cons and maybe you'll end up seeing that materialize by the time the console launches. Seriously, these guys make the best cases out there.

Oh wow, if these guys make a Switch case, I'm 100% buying one.

This one here? I like Hori cases, I have them for my other portables, but this one looks too bulky (considering the larger handheld size), and it worries me that there's no strap or anything in it to hold it in. It's like the one I have for my PSP and I have to be careful when I open it so it doesn't fall out :x

I think that you'll still have chances. People will cancel some preorders so I have a feeling that there will be some last minute availability before launch.

Fill out the survey and tell them what you'd want to see in a Switch case as far as form factor and accessory storage goes!

If their website is to be believed, they are 100% making a Switch case (probably in many different form factors). They just want to make sure it delivers on the needs of Switch owners.

The one with the read square looks great. I'm thinking of getting that one. Which one are you getting?

Hope amazon preorders come back for you all. I'm glad I got it early.
I might hold out to see what's available at launch but otherwise I'm leaning towards the Mario themed case

Yeah, I got a PS4 at midnight on launch day from Amazon, I gave it away as a gift though...

I'm sure more will pop up before then, too.

Depends on how many people buy it. At the Wii midnight launch, my store got 100 Wii's in, but only 25 copies of Twilight Princess (and even fewer Wii Classic Controllers). Note that this was at a store that doesn't take preorders. I would definitely preorder Zelda from BestBuy if you want it at launch. Of course, if you can wait like a week if need-be you should be fine, the games will be restocked much more quickly than consoles or controllers.

I am an idiot, why did I not pre-order Friday? Now I cannot get one anywhere, ugh.

Same. I was on my honeymoon last week and even though I knew about the Switch presentation it didn't occur to me to look for pre-orders. When I got home Saturday it was far too late to secure anything.

there's been some scare mongering about amazon taking more preorders than the amount of consoles they will have available...how likely is this to happen? what has the previous launches been like on amazon? i have never bought a console on launch day from an online vendor, back in my day we lined up in the freezing weather and we were happy with it!

It's a distinct possibility, but it's pretty unlikely for something this far out. I'd be more concerned with Best Buy and Walmart as they've restocked several times now with quite a large quantity.

To be honest, I imagine every preorder will be fulfilled successfully for the Switch if placed this early on.

First batcher, says the 3rd for me.

On a semi-related note...

Will changing my address right now this early on the preorder cancel my release date delivery? I'm moving at the end of the month so I couldn't put my current address and had to use my GF's address but if possible I'd rather have it shipped to my new address.

Anyone ever changed address on an Amazon pre-order before???

I'd also like to change my address to have it shipped to my work. Interested in the answer to this question.

yes, I do that all the time. amazon is fine, I would not change if it was gamestop or bestbuy though

There's been times where editing an out-of-stock item has screwed the order up with Amazon according to reports. Same applies with delays.

I've edited preorders before myself without issue, but it seems to be a toss-up. If it's not a crucial change, I'd keep it as is. Worst case, contact support to see if a change would screw everything up.

Good lord this is incredibly classy.. I def buying from them too. They need to make you an evangelist.

It worries me that Amazon still hasn't fixed the date for the Zelda Special edition...

Also still waiting for the Pro Controller and Neon SKU. I hope this delay in listing the neon doesn't mean that it will ship later than the gray one.

Waiting for the neon is becoming quite the adventure, just like waiting for Pablo. The great journey part 2

;_;

We'll make it fam

I think it's gonna go live when Japanese preorders go live on the 21st (in Japan)

makes the most sense

unless Amazon was given no stock on the Neon SKU which wouldn't make a lot of sense
