been a long ass time since I've done any painting but this was the latest post when I checked the thread so I said fuck it LETS ROLL
was worth a shot at least. she looks really familiar to me.

Thanks! my goal is smudge and sludge and minor blending. If I were a tad more rich I would slap more paint on.

This has to be one of my favorites from you. I love the baby's pose and the sun burst background. The screen they used in the original photo was worked well into your design, too. Looks so texture-iffic~

You don't seem out of practice in the slightest. It came out fantastic. You really nailed the pose, and I love the sultry punch to her expression. Nice work.

If your goal is to be an awesome painter, then consider it met. The blue highlights in the eyes are really intriguing, and the gradients in the hair are wonderful focal points. I also adore the kind of richter scale peaks on the shoulder and hair. There's something very electronic about it. Another nod to the shadow of the internet addiction in the depths of my eyes?

Thanks, she likes this one too. I think you have a distinct style going on that - IMO - would look really cool with pastel or watercolors.

I was going to draw the Radiohead noose coming to life off the wall and trying to go around your neck at first, but it seemed a bit too gruesome when I started doing it, haha.

Oh! That came out nice, heavy! I can totally picture what you were thinking with the noose, too. Would have been a cool touch, but yeah, unintentionally gruesome as well. Haha.

, It's just that almost all the time and effort i've spent on drawing has been dedicated to portraits, put me in a position where i have to draw below the chest area and my previous insecurities start to make more sense, im reeeally bad at space management for starters. That's why i'd rather leave the more wackier pictures (like the one above) to people who can go wild with their skills.Found a piece from way back when i was just starting, dated summer 2014. So okay, time flies, but sometimes i can go months at a time without really drawing anything, but with this and Drawing a Day -thread i may have found the motivation i often lack.
Unnecessary, since you clearly have a way with the pen, but i'm glad you liked it!
