Bloodborne's next.

The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.
RE7 impressions seem good on that marked spoilers thread. It also seems to be more RE than PT, if that's a good thing or a bad thing, I guess its up to each person personallyto decide.

What does that even mean?

And Gravity Rush 2, Ratchet&Clank, Bloodborne, Journey or The Last Guardian are "homogenized AAA action game" now?

yeah that was silly

sony gets more love because it's by far the best publisher between the three console creators

I'm aware, but GAF was Sony heavy even when 360 had the lead in last gen days. Gaming side seems to be heavily "fanboyish" toward Sony too.

GAF still had a strong Sony base during the 360 days since the 360 days came after the PS2 days.
GAF was more pro Microsoft than Sony last gen. 360 started out better and kept the lead, it had some exclusives people liked, it had timed exclusives people wanted, it turned Sony exclusives into multiplatform releases and most multiplatform ports were better on 360. You know what I remember very vividly when it comes to GAF and last gen? 599 and PS3grill.

Bloodborne's next.

Buying PS4 for a Square Enix game seems like an exercise in futility.
We all know the game is coming to Steam somewhere down the line.
Buying PS4 for Sega games on the other hand is a valid move. Because Sega is Sega and Sega is the worst.

Nintendo is a better publisher, but they're so terrible at every other aspect of owning a platform that it doesn't matter.

they're not

i mean, all of those aspects are part of what makes a publisher/console manufacturer great

and nintendo isn't great, they're terrible, actually.

I didn't buy it for a Square Enix game, it's just the best pack I found, and as far as I know, Type-0 was a shitty port.
I prefer retail games rather than digital too, I'm going to buy MGS V on PS4, for example.
Then we have the case of Dark Souls 3, which I'm going to buy the retail copy on PC because fuck PS+, Gold and whatever Nintendo is going to call theirs.

I wouldn't really call homogenized AAA action game hardcore by any stretch.

Then why do so many people from this thread wish the games on PS4 would come to steam :>

Nioh is about to be straight fire but apparently it's a homogenized AAA action game since it's not on Steam or Switch. Come on grief, you used to not be so blatant.

the ending in OneShot is great.

Now let's do the other one ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

"Hardcore" has all sorts of definitions when it comes to gaming, though. Anything from "people who favor games that are difficult/demanding/have very complicated systems that need to be learned" to "techheads that buy ultra high-end PC hardware and tinker with drivers and settings to get the max performance out of every game" to plain old "people who are passionate about the games they play, even if they're playing on a low-end handheld/potato PC/whatever".

Some of y'all need to stop being so judgmental. :p

Yeah, the console pendulum swung toward MS last gen, and back to Sony this gen. And so it goes.

I think you would want one with a 1060m if money isn't an issue. I recently picked up a Dell 7559 with 960m which I've been pretty happy with so far. It's not my primary gaming machine though otherwise I think I would have gotten something with a 1060m

I bought the PS2 for FFX and the other ps2 dd games (although only in 2009)
And then I bought the PS3 for FF13 and bought later 13-2

But I wont buy a PS4, I have nearly all FF titles on steam

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?

My only real suggestion regarding laptops gaming or otherwise would be to get an extended warranty since you'll have a lot less options servicing them yourself. For example, I was pretty happy that Costco extends manufacturer warranties when I had to deal with family members laptops.

they dropped the "m" label on the 10 series right? meaning a laptop with a 1060 more or less has the same power as a desktop? i think i would definitely want to go Pascal as long as it could be done in the $1200~ range

yes good idea. the last laptop i spent a lot on was in 2004 and it broke just out of warranty.

Horror game of the year got 20 points and is 12 years old. Dusk Golem am cry.

So in Bravely Default if I want characters to have access to a job ability, that character has to grind out that job level that job on their own? Why can't I just unlock it with one character? Seems inefficient.

It's a little odd. But really easy to deal with. Unsure where you're at in the game. But later on there was a really good area for this. Where you meet the red mage. You can set the battles to instant, speed to 2x, and the enemies in the area can be killed quickly with a combo. That's what I did to boost a lot of my jobs I wanted specific people to have.

Has there been any news of what Tango Gameworks is working on or Evil Within 2? As time goes by I remember how much I enjoyed that game outside of the last chapter.

When you say "instant" do you mean you can make the attacks happen without any input or do you just mean you get into battles quickly?

You can have the random encounter rate basically pop up every step, and then the game can be set to auto battle your last set of moves. So you can literally just move around and level up.

The final boss is destroying me in Crypt of the Necrodancer and the Winch keeps fucking me in TowerClimb ahhhhhhhhhh. I am trying so hard to sustain myself before Yakuza 0 comes out.

Oh, how do you do the auto battle part? I don't see it in the settings.
