If scum could infect 2 town every day, we would look at a rate of infection going:

1 - 3 - 5 - 7 - 9

So by D5, there could be potentially 9 infected. 8, if we assume F4A to be cured.

That would make the game very hard for town to win. We would have to basically kill or cure infected every day and night phase just to keep up.

I mean, I still can and probably will. I have no idea how it will be helpful, but I believe it is something that is not revealed upon death, which is why I would like to share mine.

It's interesting that Fat4all was infected. I would have gone for someone who didn't post much on D1, so that when they eventually turned into Level 2s people would not be able to tell the difference between their posting styles (because of lack of content). This includes Exodus, Exmachina, 11307, LP and some others. That's why I asked them to post more on D1. Fat4all was a relatively high count poster, but maybe they knew how good of a scum member he can be. That is, if the infection isn't random which I know was a theory floating around.

I'm inclined to believe Fran and Fat4all, but I'm still catching up. I'm liking Melon's posts so far, she's new to the game but I think she's town.

I don't know why Kark is going hard on Fran and Fat. I only skimmed that stuff so will look through it more thoroughly. But to me it sounds like Fran's ability is extremely verifiable. If the Araxometer goes down at the end of D2 from 2 to 1, it means his ability worked and is indeed a cure. If not, we inspect the duo more closely.

On D1 I really wanted to believe that Kark was an ordinary just throwing a gambit out there. Today I need to re-evaluate whether his questioning on Fran and Fat is from skeptical town or whether it's scum trying to throw suspicion on the mason pair. If it is it's not working as I'm highly unlikely to vote for them.

I'm more convinced than ever that CCS is telling the truth about his role. I'm going to ask him to share his history as well, only if he so chooses.

A general question for all: Do you think that there is one or more infected right now (not counting the most likely cured Fat4All).

Because if there is only 1, searching for Scum ties between players is meaningless.

Karkador is still the most worrying player. He seems way too eager to lynch F4A, when there is much more easier ways to verify him and Fran. And if they are telling the truth, lynching F4A would be a waste. Makes me feel like Kark has an agenda of his own.

Currently yes, I think we started with only 1 Scum Player on Day 1 and this is theoretically backed up by having a No Lynch on Day 1 as well as the Araxometer going up this Day Phase.

So far I think it can be broken down into 2 different scenarios:

1. Kark is Scum and was the Infected on Day 1. We lynch him today and we win. Yay!

2. Kark is Neutral and has some other objective he is playing towards. If we lynch him and he flips Neutral then I'm willing to believe that Burb was the initial Infected.

The 2nd option also works if Kark is Town but I really don't think that is the case here. Either way if we lynch Kark today and the game continues I'm willing to look in other places.

Guys, really sorry. As awesome as this flavor is, life is just too hectic at the moment (new house, never-ending overtime), and I think I'm going to have to bow out. I'm just not going to be able to contribute enough, and it won't be fair to everyone that is putting a lot of effort into the game. I'll get the mods to replace me. There's no evidence to suggest that the virus itself kills people, only that it infects people.

At least, going by the description here:

As you know, the Araxia virus was discovered on the island of Araxia. An island situated off the western coast of South America. When a person becomes infected with Araxia, their cognitive functions become greatly reduced rendering them feral and violent. An infected human is commonly called an Araxoid. Araxoids are very dangerous and can kill without warning. What's most dangerous however is when the infection advances to what we call stage 2. At a stage 2 infection, the Araxoid's intelligence returns to human-like levels, as well they gain the ability to infect other humans.

It seems more likely Cabot died at the hands of a co-worker who had turned.

I've been having a little trouble with keeping tabs on people. Day one was completely different from what I've played before and while day two is a little similar, if feels lacking due to the fact that Karador seems a sure lynch for today. Not to mention, looking at things like voting activity isn't as helpful if anyone could become infected.
