Oh cool. I wish he was a little more powerful. It's really fun to use him but I find that all he's good for is harassing people.

Say what? You are joking right?
There's nothing in the game more frustrating to play against than a good Widow. She's similar to Sym/Torb in her ability to completely shutdown uncoordinated teams, but also easily countered by coordinated teams just the same.

She doesn't need a nerf, though. It's not her fault coordinating with random people online can feel like pulling teeth.

What would 70 in season 1 translate to in the current scoring system. Would it be 3500 since everything was multiplied by 50 or 4000 since that was the 3000CP reward at the end of the season?

70 is equal to 3500 on the scale, but the way people were playing and the way SR worked back then, most of the 70SR peeps are probably at least 3800~ or so these days. I stopped at 70SR S1 and am currently at 4100~. Most people seem to respect the S1 70SR even though I have no S2 rating :v

Just going by experience, but a S1 70+ game easily felt around what GM level probably is now(for better and worse). I mean you could hit top 500 in the mid 70s easily too.

Just lost a comp game because a teammate had 400 ping and kept disconnecting. I shouldn't lose SR for that.
Then people would get in groups of 6, and one person would drop any time the match is going poorly to save SR for the other 5.

It's not a great position to be in, but I haven't seen a better solution either.

The only game I played above 70 that was probably similar to a GM game (I say having never played a GM game) was when the average was around 77. Though my team was a 5 stack while I was a solo queuer and I had some of them already on my friends list before so that might have helped. I don't think most of my 70+ games felt much different to high diamond games now but that might be because it was PS4 so less communication and I think I've gotten better as I was a Lucio one trick then. I think PS4 top 500 back then was 71/72ish but some people could hit it late 60s while some took mid 70s.

Ya, there isn't really. Any leniency with that would be too easy to exploit. You just have to trust you've won games you shouldn't have, because someone on the enemy team was having connection issues, too.

That's what balances it out for me. I've lost games because people disconnect, and I've won games because people disconnect. It sucks, but it happens.

Then there was the one game my team lost 6v5. :-/

4 comp games, 4 losses, all b/c of no good rein :/

Maybe its time I try and good with him already
not happening
I decided to try and get good with reinhardt too once. Went great in qp so felt comfortable to use in comp. Completely sucked with him but more often than not the enemy team didn't have one so I ended up with a 70% or 80% win rate despite sucking with him. Just play him and see if it works out. I only played him for like 10 games though I think so take with a pinch of salt.

I've become so disillusioned with Pharah in comp lately. I start off the weekend with a 50 elim game and then it all goes to hell and i'm down 400SR. Feels bad man.

NeoGAF's smiling token!
>Don't play comp for 3 days
>Decide "hell why not" & it's Nepal (KOTH)
>Team can't stay alive and starts blaming each others picks
>I switch from Healer(Round 1) to DPS(Round 2) to Tank(Round 3) as they're swapping around and I'm trying to work around/with them
>Had gold and silver medals throughout the whole game(outright competing my team as they're bitching at each other and sourcing numbers)
>Lose game SR down 28 points

I outhealed the Mercy who only knew how to play Mercy and would not switch because he "hated Lucio" and I already had competing elims as Zenyatta when I went to Soldier and then to Reinhardt maintaining those competing silver/gold elims. Pretty sure I died the least on the team too.

Yup.

He was a good player sure but GM level... Lol. Roadhog has boosted so many plats/diamond to GM this season, it's insane. And people still maintain he's a balanced hero.

Roadhog was at his best in Season 1, when he had BS Hook 1.0 AND pulled them super close.

And this is what they DO NOT get. Flaming doesn't help AT ALL. Just yesterday one guys starts like "comp sucks." "okay, you want to lose" etc. and actually we lost Round 1. After that, he kept going on. I said "ok, got it, we suck. But that's all you got as a team now, suck it up, make the best of it and focus instead of chatting and flaming." For sure he kept going on, that we "do NOT get it". I told him that I mute him. (does muted players still can read what you're writing? I hope so). We won round 2 (who would have thought about that?).

We lost round 3, but very close.

I'm getting drastically about toxic behaviour. One reply, if he/they is/are not comprehensible, I Instantly perma mute him/them. Don't have the time nor the nerves for dealing and discipline anonymous individuals.

The worst part about toxic behaviour is that it carries no real and viable information. I can deal with people who wants to play their favorite hero but won't ask nicely for it. If someone can't play other heroes well enough, but is too stupid or rude to ask politely, I won't be responsible for his consequential bad pick, the following bad language and maybe a game that goes down hill. I just switch; I can play other heroes. But when someone just says things like "this comp sucks", but don't elaborate on that and keeps on like "don't you see it?" or "then pls delete game" when asking about the specific problem... well, then I guess this toxic element shouldn't have an account for this multiplayer game.

I've never encountered a worse attitude. And I've played CS 1.6, CSS and CoD 1 and 4 A LOT.

I also miss the good old times where people said "gl hf" and stuff like that. Hell, even at online chess people don't do that anymore, but did it like 10 years ago. I just keep doing this thing and hope it rubs off on someone.

I've got so much work to do these days that I had to uninstall the game and battle.net. I'll be able to play again next month but shit I think about the game constantly. Last week I started to play with characters I thought I would never touch and I was having so much fun.

Some rough games tonight. ND was the only Gaffer on and the randoms were shit-tier. Had some frustrating games.

Show us the information where they have significantly higher winrates playing hog in comp than on any other hero. I don't understand how it helps climb when hog is on both teams every time. In other words, it doesn't, still a matter of being the better player.

Is going to be funny, if they stick with what is on PTR it is actually a buff for the skilled Roadhog players.

I think there is. If the leaver wasn't in your group they should cap the amount of SR you lose, 15 or something.

It feels bad when you lose 20-30SR in a game where it was impossible to win and then gain the same amount or sometimes even less the game after when it was a legit match. Makes no sense.

That Mercy in the last game that only healed Pharah was getting on my nerves. They were both masters and most likely training since they were a duo, but it still sucks for the rest of the team.

Yeah, I wonder where this came from. I mean, in the past it felt like good sportsmanship. Is it because of inbuilt ratings and leagues? In the past there was no matchmaking so if you didn't do clans randoms would be very mixed and all over the place. If you were strong, it would be normal that you were kind of a carry and watched out for the other strong players. You simply dealt with the fact that overall your team was simply mixed.
As a weaker player it was also great to have the better strong guy on the team because it was fun getting carried at times when you were doing worse.

With AMM even in casual it now feels tense all the time. You always carry the weight of not fucking up because there will be noone in the team who can carry. So if anyone makes a mistake for some people that's "you cost us the game" because they can only carry their share of the weight. Noone in the team can make up for your bad play.

I dunno, but in the past I simply jumped into an open server I liked and it was fun. Noone raged about someone not being able to play because yeah, some people are new, some and bad, but hey, both teams have that. And if it was too lopsided, teamshuffle. You said gl, hf and hoped that this time the teams were better balanced. Plus the KDA always clearly told you cleanly who the monsters were :p

At least for casual I think a non-matched server mode with team shuffling would be fun. Maybe with the classic blue and red doors to enter after each match?
