The games were smaller on Vita though. A 64GB SDXC card cost like $15-20 but how many Switch games do you fit on it? I guess some games are Vita sized but we already have a launch title at 32GB and they'll likely get bigger over time. 200-256GB is probably what you want to have, which is a bit more expensive.Especially memory that is relatively cheap and easy to come by ...cheaper and more expansive than the proprietary ~$30 4GB Vita memory card.
Because I'd expect Nintendo to upgrade the internal storage and not just throw a microSD card my way. You've just contradicted yourself there how would having say 128gig in the switch raised the by $200 when you've just said you got one for $20?, you do know that card would've cost Nintendo even less than what you paid right, there's no excuse for the ridiculous 32gig internal when people keep screaming how cheap these cards are they'd be even cheaper to Nintendo bulk buying ffs,
I have my entire library inside my N3DS. All of it, more than half of my 128GB microSD filled.
You are right. They can't. That doesn't solve the inherent problem of their design. As a consumer, I don't need to baby a company due to their decisions. Theoretically, due to the low cost of SD cards, they could have possibly bundled one to help with space, but I honestly don't know the logistics of that.
Do me a favour.
Head on over to Nintendo. Tell them to change their marketing. Tell'em, you guys are wrong, this is a tablet system and not a console.
The difference is the cost of those components.I got a 1tb hdd included in the cost of my ps4 I'm getting 32gigs in my switch included in the price, if you can't see the difference then I don't know what to say.
Again, that's fine and well, but as a consumer, I still have to go buy an extra thing. They cut costs on what they feel is important, and that's fine. It could have been much more out of the gate. I'll probably be saving 30 bucks total than if it was 350 going by amazon right now, and that's under the assumption that it'd be so low to manufacture. That doesn't mean Nintendo gets out of criticism for that choice, because I, the consumer, am still impacted.
You can understand a decision that a company makes and still be annoyed with it.

If you want speeds comparable to the Switch's load speed, and the load speed of a decent SD card, You'll need to take remove that 1TB HDD, throw it in the garbage can, and buy a good SSD.I got a 1tb hdd included in the cost of my ps4 I'm getting 32gigs in my switch included in the price, if you can't see the difference then I don't know what to say.
I'm only responding to how you phrased your post. They could and probably should include an SD card, but I'm not really sure what the margins on the console are or how feasible it is to include one, so I won't comment on it any further.I'm not saying give us it all in embedded memory put an sd card in there, I really don't get people defending this at all.

Nice to see commentary on GAF has finally caught up with GameFAQs, what with all the "defense force" talk lately
You don't have to go out and buy a Micro SD Card to play DQ Heroes 1&2. There is another option available to you which is to buy it physically.
If you come and join us in the different Switch buying discussion threads then you'll see that we're constantly discussing best prices for Micro SD cards. It's an added cost that we're all expecting and ready to pay.
But what about WiiU? Sure the resolution is usually lower but there are still streaming open-world games like Assassin's Creed and Xenoblade which should need super fast loading.PS4 and XBO need to pull more information more quickly than a BD drive can provide.
Hold on, so you bought an extra 128GB Micro SD Card for your New Nintendo 3DS and you're here complaining?
I'm not sure where you've been! Gaf has always been full of people who call others "corporate ballwashers" and "defense forces" for not agreeing with themNice to see commentary on GAF has finally caught up with GameFAQs, what with all the "defense force" talk lately

I see that as unfortunate, but shocking? I dunno, most folks who buy devices like these ought to be used to buying an SD card to go along with it, no? Some people won't know or won't think of it, but I don't see it being a wide spread complaint. With 32GB of internal storage I suspect that it will be almost mandatory for everyone to buy an SD card eventually if they plan on buying eShop, VC games, DLC and want to patch their retail games.
I think the shocker here for some isn't that people who want to buy all of their games digitally have to buy an SD card... it's that there's a game that literally won't fit on the included memory by itself.
I find it weird that BotW which seems to be massive is 13.4GB and DQH(I know it's two games) is like 2.5 times that size, I guess Musou games are far bigger than what they're credited for, or it's poorly compressed.
It's a tablet, not a console. You cant put a physical platter drive in it. Ask your phone or tablet manufacturer how much they charge for extra onboard flash storage. That's why the cost is being passed to the prosumer rather than everyone who buys the console for, say, 350 or more instead of 299. Be realistic, not concerntrollistic. Hell, be happy they're not fleecing you like Sony did with extremely expensive proprietary flash storage.
Bought it a long time ago. And yes, I'm complaining because Switch games will be multiple times bigger than 3DS games. The equivalent of what I did with the 3DS would be a 2TB MicroSD, which is ridiculous.

Digital is a mistake on Nintendo systems. Buy physical. You'll save a ton of money via sales, wont need to buy a big Sd card, maintain ability to trade, lend or resell your games, and you'll have nice box art to display.
For example a poster said download times would be longer on an SD vs gamecard. Is this verified?!
Probably not since they've only stated it's coming in March. If download size were an indication of it being available for launch, than MK8D's would also indicate it coming out, but that isn't the case.Does this mean SnipperClips will be ready for launch, since the download size is out there?
Mario Kart 8D is also listed.Does this mean SnipperClips will be ready for launch, since the download size is out there?
It's the FMV.

Hello,
I am considering going all digital. Can someone list the pros and cons?
For example a poster said download times would be longer on an SD vs gamecard. Is this verified?
Are purchases tied to a My Nintendo account ? So we can download the game on multiple Switch we own? Has Nintendo said when this sharing will be available (not at launch).
Also, another poster mentioned reselling- I rarely do that so it would be ok for me.
Are download games by Nintendo usually the same cost as retail? More or less?
Someone knowledgeable about this topic, please help us!
Thank you!
Read my other post on the previous page, and you'll be convinced even more!Ive got a nice big SD card, but you've almost convinced me into physical lol. I just hate managing all that media.
