assuming the PC port isn't a disaster, uncapped framerates and downsampling make that an easy decision.
Has a platinum game ever had a quality PC port though? MGR's was not great.

He made a ban bet with Duckroll about the game not getting delayed. If it is, he'll be baned for just as many days as the length of the delay iirc
Only 3 days delay? Color me shocked.
Eh even tho I have a 1080 FTW, I am still getting the game on my pro.
Also, despite all this frothing about release dates on PC, wouldn't it perhaps be wiser to try and find out how bare-bones the port is before getting too hyped and cancelling PS4 pre-orders?
So.... if the PC version was cancelled (which isn't happening), does that mean it's a permaban?
Do I need to have played the original NieR to play NieR:Automata?

This is obv a fake trailer

Well it's a key reseller without any direct relation with the publisher so it means shit.
Dunno bout you guys but I'll just grab the English Asian edition which is coming out in 1-2 days.
You don't need to play it.
There's a lore section on the Nier:A website to catch you up, or you can look at the videos this lovely person, Clemps, has produced.
I think it's safe to say people who are posting here might want to wait for the PC version.
It's probably capped at 60fps. Transformers was capped at 60fps and afaik they still use the same engine.I have a RX480 so 4K isn't in my range haha.
I'm more of a framerate kind of guy though, do we know if it's uncapped or not?
Yes, also I don't see any reason for them to create two versions of the trailer, one with Steam release date and one without. You would think that they would make a separate trailer. As much as it pains me to say this, having looked through all to Nier related social media accounts, none of them acknowledge the PC releasedate in any form. This is just weird all around

Maybe my crazy theory that valve and Sony have worked out some sort of deal similar to Xbox play anywhere is true and is announced at gdc
No, US release in October...EU release in October...
EU release in October...
You don't need to play it, but you should play it.Do I need to have played the original NieR to play NieR:Automata?
The funniest thing is people thinking eu release is October lmao.
In EU the month comes after the day.
In EU the month comes after the day.
Which is the crux of the argument that Sony paid Square to not mention the PC release. These PC releases are making it really hard to justify getting a PS4.

In most of the world the month comes after the day
You don't need to play it, but you should play it.

What about Japan? Do they use that format too?
Yea, did you miss the part where i say "crazy" theory. Anyways you are talkin about Sony buying some sort of marketing/ timed exclusivity for a niche game after it has already been announced for pc which is not realistic when they already enough things in this quarter to market/promote as exclusives. Besides, buy once play on both has happened in the past with portal 2 but then the experiment was dropped. I am just speculating they might revisit that and I know it is "out there"Talking about getting back to reality and then posting this. Smh.
