World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

Will you be able to start spending AP on the new 7.2 traits without needing to have already spent all the old 54? I have enough points to keep spending on some .5% increments but that doesn't seem wise right now if I can get the new 10% one as soon as the patch goes live.

Those points spent are being automatically converted to the new traits, so there's no reason to wait.

I found that NE males cannot mount a Water Strider in water, then jump and be walking on water (and if they actually can, it is super hard because I haven't been able to do it successfully) while my NE female easily can.

I don't know the *exact* mechanics, there, but camera angle is certainly a component. Have you tried looking very clearly upwards before you jump?

The HoTS promotion, For Azeroth, for the Primal Flamesaber has been extended to March 26th. I think someone was asking about it.

I did the quest, but my WoW sub is inactive. I wonder if I'll get the mount on log in even if the event is over? I seem to recall retroactively getting rewards in the past.

It should, like the Hearthsteed

LFR Gul'dan is crazy. Wipes, assholes aggroing boss early. Finally after like an hour and a full stack of determination we down him.

Finally got the mount.

LFR Guldan sucks. I saw fel scythe go off like a dozen times once.

And of course you have the great "Flames of Sargares on Dipshit!" who proceeds to run it into melee and tanks who tank Guldan in the middle on Phase 3 and die to Storm and people never soaking souls and dying to Harvest

Fights with actual mechanics on LFR lel. Augur is just as bad

LFR Durumu, Animus and Lei Shen still the WOAT.

I always found LFR Dark Shaman worse than Durumu or Nazgrim prenerf(as the woat i mean)

The original LFR Garalon was unbelievable. It was common to have a group of 8-10 alive fighting him until enrage. None of them were in any danger, because they actually knew what the fuck they were doing, but it just took forever.

What are the queue times like for random battlegrounds these days?

I haven't played since WotLK and I'm thinking of jumping back in for a month or two. Healing random WSG on my night elf priest was where I got the most of my fun back then.

How will that work exactly? Do you just get your points refunded to re-spend on the new traits?

8 minutes for horde, 3 minutes for alliance (US). They're a bit shorter right now since it's the BG bonus week.

There's also an NPC in the Dalaran sewers that allows you to switch faction for BGs. I think it only works for horde now in practice due to how the faction numbers are accounted for. Just an option to consider if you're horde and want faster waiting times.

They said all points past 34 are just being refunded, so if you have 54 now, you'd end up with 34 in your weapon plus ~60 million AP to spend on the new traits. If you stopped at 34 now, you'd have 34 traits and whatever banked AP your weapon had. So there's no downside to spending points currently. They also said all current AP tokens won't work when patch hits, so also no point in not using tokens and saving them for 7.2.

(It might actually be 35 points that you keep, since the 35th point on PTR is the same as live, but you get the idea)

I wish they'd make the rep tokens boa once you're exalted with a faction, or turn them boa once 7.2 hits, since they won't work past exalted.

Which rep tokens? The ones from missions ARE BoA when exalted, the only ones that aren't are the ones from Kirin Tor WQs. I just sent my alt ~10 Nightfallen rep tokens from my main to help push rep to get 2nd rank of Alchemy stuff.

The ones from Kirin Tor's emissary and the one from the Nightfallen scenario. I have stacks of nightfallen rep tokens on various characters which are useless and I can't even sell them. Class Hall Mission's tokens are BoA, yeah, but those come up very rarely for me and usually for reps my alts don't need (I see Valarjar most of the time). I might have sent out 3 or 4 of those mission's tokens to my alt.

Ah yea, definitely agree on withered training ones, would also make me feel less crappy about doing withered training for the fox mount when rep capped. Kirin Tor would be nice too but not the biggest deal since that comes up so infrequently. I actually seem to get quite a nice amount of those rep token missions. I have two max rep max follower characters, and I get on average 2 missions per day, solid variety. So that is 4 tokens per day, 2 random from 200%ing missions, so I've built up a pretty solid bank of them. Only 250 rep per so not too crazy but not terrible either.

On the PTR 7.2 build 23780 is marked as Release Candidate. Hopefully it is deployed on retail servers on March 28.

I hope they stop doing these Heroes thing cus this is awful.

I REALLY hate this game.

I played to get the Cho'Gall hero, but then realized I don't like the game, so why was I playing to get a hero for a game I didn't like??

I still need to get to level 20 for the wow pet for pet pvp. Currently sitting at level 16 and have no desire to level up.

Going on a trip for the last three weeks of April and won't be getting on WoW so this would be really nice. Initially I thought it might come out while I'm gone, but if I can at least get things unlocked/started with regards to 7.2 stuff, that would be a lot better, phew. #priorities

I can't decide what to play next...I'm a 84 Fury WAR and it's actually not that bad. I've got the bad case of alt-itis.

I want a flashy class with cool skills and does decent damage. I'm not META and shit I just want to have fun. How are Warlocks?

Sounds like you want to be playing a Demon Hunter right now, actually. Warlocks aren't much in the way of fun. Demo is really clunky and fussy, Destro is a little too familiar and procedural, and Affliction is effective but also extremely basic, at least when it comes to single target.

I really want the ability to attach a toll to the summoning prompt when you're receiving a summon

'would you like to tkae this portal? 10 gold'

Got The Emperor's Capacitor on my monk. I was somewhat excited to try it out initially, but after playing with it a bit I have to say I felt let down. I thought I'd be able to give a nice boost to my DPS with some supercharged Crackling Jade Lightning but I sucked before getting that legendary and I still sucked after getting it. Even at 20 stacks my Crackling Jade Lightning does low damage (compared to the build up time).

I am not sure in which build it was introduced, but patch 7.2 on the PTR features anyhow the Chinese version of the new abomination model:

I never understood the purpose of having their guts exposed. Can't do much for defence. Though it looks quite nasty so it could be a way to bring fear to enemies.

Just hit Legion content today have done all the intro stuff (holy crap that opening section on Broken Isles was nuts, didn't get spoiled going into it either). Got some questions though as I have just chosen my first artifact weapon. I'm a Shammy and ended up selecting the Enhancement Artifact weapon as I've been doing Enhancement for leveling spec. I plan to play Restro healer once I hit 110 and was wondering if it's still possible for me to get the artifact weapon for Restro or whether I'm stuck with enhancement now? Also if it is possible to have both, how long will it take before I can get my 2nd weapon? After having just got my first weapon I switched specs to see if I could get another quest in Maelstrom, but see nothing so far. If I can do both is it possible to just use all the Artifact points earned on my Restro artifact, or do you need to upgrade the Doomhammer to be able to get by in the leveling content.

Oh and another question, I see you can just pick the zone you want to go to now, what's the best order to do them in?

Once you hit 102 you can do a quest for the other weapons.

Yeah, it's bad. Joke legendary for a spec that is getting the biggest nerf to legendaries (that aren't even strong) come 7.2.

You could play Enhancement and bank AP for Resto, even switch specs on quest turn-ins to get Resto relics for your artifact but I wouldn't recommend split-leveling artifacts while leveling, there's no real benefit. Just save all Order Hall resources you gain from initially leveling in PVE to buy the first 15 Artifact Knowledge levels in your Order Hall once you hit 110 and you can quickly level up your Resto artifact with WQ AP rewards. You also will get better relics from WQ's than you could from PVE questing.

If you focus on clearing the PVE, you don't have to worry about dungeon queues as a DPS because the Pillar of Creation quests provide queuing priority.

Ghost Elves - Fuck you Farondis if you just bent the knee to Azshara we wouldn't be ghosts
Also Ghost Elves 20 minutes later - Farondis didn't kneel to Azshara, and we respect that

The way I understood it is that they never really knew the details of him fucking up but once they saw him stand up to Azshara they knew he was legit.

I didn't say the plot of the PVE was well done, I said Azsuna was the best zone because it's the briefest. I don't particularly care for Legion's PVE in general.

They never knew that Azshara was working for the Legion and eventually became a Naga. This information is only revealed during her confrontation with Farondis, so his subjects no longer feel that they died in resistance to their own kind for no reason. Like all of Val'sharah is a nightmare by contrast where some of the strongest lore characters are just powerless for no real reason.

huh maybe i should redo azsuna i remember being confused when they flipped

Val'sharah is clownshoes, its Malfurion and Tyrande running around like chickens with their heads cut off

Lot of dumb people in Legion, it makes Khadgar seem super competent, even though when I was watching him during the Gul'dan fight when I was dead once he stands in Storm of the Destroyer and laughs

WHERE IS MY BELOVED!?

TYRANDEEEEE, I NEEEEED YOUUUU!

Anyway, speaking of questing, does anyone know of a place that lists all of the random minor quest hubs in legion zones, not part of the zone story? Things like the Ravenbear Nithogg questline in Stormheim, or the Daughters of Cenarius being melted for soup line in Val'Sharah? I know for a fact I've missed a ton of these questlines, but not sure how to go about finding them, and I feel some of them at least would be worth doing, like Ravenbears...

Wait...so reading Chronicle II...and Blackrock Mountain was always called that before the Orcs even got to Azeroth?

Ok, sure. Just a coincidence I guess.

i always thought the Orcs were named after the mountain because they were occupying it. not sure why the blackrock orcs are named blackrock orcs now

Running out of Yseralline Seeds to supply my potion consumption.

Having to rely on warlock healthstones makes it feel like I'm living on food stamps.

cuz Blackrock is the name of the ore in Gorgrond that they used to make their superior weaponry and armor

its something they could have easily corrected like righting the draenei lore shitshow or throwing in a line about Deathwing going through the Portal to Azeroth before it blows up.

Maybe Durotar was just always Durotar as well!

How are heroic NH pugs these days? I've gotten to the point where a majority of the normal drops won't help me at all, I'm at 891. I've killed the first 3 bosses + krosus but I've heard how hard the other bosses are compared to Normal.

What's the issue with the DH follower Belath? I've seen him run away and keep far away while I'm fighting stuff more than once, or only hit a few times when he stays close (not always, but enough to make me wonder). Is this asshole in reality a KJ spy trying to let me die, or just some busted A.I.?

If I have something else targeted yet engage a different target with something like Fel Rush, he always goes after what I had initially targeted. Sometimes this is like a huge distance away and off he goes....
