It is my opinion that the race of dinosaurs will return to Earth from their resting place on Mars, and will enslave mankind. It is my opinion that global warming is actually caused by leftover dinosaur terraforming technologies as they prepare to create New Pangaea.

As someone earlier said, he was a somewhat well known YouTuber during the Wii era. But then he started picking fights and being a general deplorable individual during the Wii U era, and Nintendo stopped sending me free product, at which point he became REALLY salty

Many people love Disney movies and Walt is no stranger to racism claims, but i don't fault people for liking his films and people arent boycotting Marvel movies because of his views. Being able to separate your personal politics from appreciating someones work on its own merit is important.

I find JonTron obnoxious, but the internet mob calling for his head is gross and excessive (also like Jon), even if the things he said were foolish.

Playtonic have the full right to not have someone like him representing them. Why's that hard to swallow? It's their choice and understandable.

Still, worth noting the style of abstract that gets used in these sorts of conversations. Assertive and detached from any particular context, to seem self-evident.

I wouldn't boycott this game even if they'd kept him in but I'm glad they threw him out. I can live with the thought of racists boycotting the game now. :D

It's sad that Playtonic became part of this shitfest. Must have been a tough time. Who could have known back then how much of an ass Jon would make of himself a few years later? Even worse because instead of admitting it's a bad idea of pushing these "ideas" in public he became defensive and went full retard on Twitter and every form of media.

I'm not a fan of white knights or heavy political correctness during my daily life but in his position he crossed the line way too often. Being fed up with pc...Ok, why not but spewing intolerance with these arguments (that twitch stream -_- ) is just stupid. Way to destroy his image within a few months. I have the feeling since Trump is president some people don't even try to hide their destructive beliefs.

Playtonic should have nothing to do with all this so it's great they distance themselves from him.

My VO friend posted about this and got the usual hate. Someone jumped in and listed EVERYTHING Jafari had said, to which the person they were talking to literally just wrote "well, I don't believe he would say that".

I'm much more likely to support playtonic for this, and I think they should be thrilled that white supremacists are now skipping their game.

Man, this is maybe the first consequence that Jontron will actually feel. It seems like he has gained a larger audience as a direct result of his racism. If anything, it felt like he was being rewarded for being awful. Having been a fan, I know how much he loves Banjoo Kazooie. I am sure being removed from this project will legitimately hurt him. Maybe he will be able to reflect upon his actions a little better now.

Well he was defending the character designs in EO. I used to somewhat agree with him (that a number of the designs in the games are great)... But then he'd go and defend stuff like the EO4 dancer and the thread would basically be over at that point.

Sure it's their decision but maybe what he said was not fully into context? I don't know his whole story but it seemed as if he blured this one twitch stream late at night talking with someone else.

Boycotting a product that someone that someone isn't primarily involved in seems a bit silly. Do you boycott Apple if you find out one of their employees is a Republican? Or stop watching a TV show if one of their cast members is pro-life?

If you applied your rule consistently you'd never buy anything or experience any sort of cultural product.

He hasn't recanted. And usually, someone doesn't accidently blurt out white supremacist views if they don't have them. It's not like he said fuck instead of fudge on a cooking video.
