World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

People called Romanes they go the house?

I remember reading this would be upcoming, and was hoping it would be this (relatively) good.

Out of the two paladin bodyguards, I have one with dual order resource per WQ completion (with another champion equipment ready for the third slot) that I keep on as a combat follower, but the XP difference between him and the other champions (loaded with 8 hr+ % boosts) is nearly 50k XP at this point.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
I'd like to run a bodyguard but I dunno if it's worth taking out an extra follower like Meatball or something.

The 7-follower setup we have access to lends itself to having a bodyguard pretty well.

I'm not optimizing correctly but more often than not I can't get 7 followers all out on worthwhile missions at the same time (the caveat here being that I've basically stopped acknowledging the existence of AP). Even when I had 5 I would often have one sitting back.

I used the Prot Paladin bodyguard and it makes the world so much easier. Most of the time he has aggro and even if he dies, he's back within seconds. Makes taking down elites alone soooo much easier.

I used him while leveling but I got sick of him taunting stuff and causing it to evade bug. Of course then I tried using Broll on my druid and he'd never taunt anything at all which made him equally annoying.

My biggest annoyance is a stupid bug where he constantly gets stuck on his mount while I am not mounted. Seems to be related to Divine Steed. But he's so big and in the way, I hate him for that.

I find having a bodyguard to be very useful even if sometimes I'd want to kill them because of the issues they bring, like the visual obstruction making looting corpses difficult, something the new DH bodyguard excels at but her bubble buff is too damn good and I like her VA so I can't give her up.

I've had good times with Kanrethad already. He's a boss. Literally, since you killed him to get green fire back in Pandaria.

I only use a follower now that I've got seven slots because it's got a 50 gold/oh boost trinket per WQ completed. It doesn't sound like much but it adds up pretty quickly.

1027 away, I will tomorrow!

It's okay tho, you can rub your bitchin' looking Paladin mount (which has multiple colour schemes for the different races) in the face of my magic frisbee when we all get our class mounts.

Flying really is amazing after the long wait. Makes world quests a lot easier.

I need to stop getting my hopes up about these nethershard pieces, though. I continue to get absolutely worthless versatility gear.

Has Blizzard ever talked about took out reforging? Really sucks ass to get big upgrades as far as item level goes but have the piece be totally worthless because of bad stats.

I'm 615 rep from flying and there are no more WQ when I checked this morning. I got 400 legionfall supplies just waiting for the Mage Tower. Once another WQ pops up, I'll get it tonight. Not sure I'll go for exalted for the class mount. Just farming legionfall rep was a boring grind. Can't imagine doing this on my alts. Ugh.

Honestly there are 8 more steps in the Legionfall campaign, so if we assume each rewards 1500 rep like the previous all have, if you just do that and nothing else you'll get more than halfway there. Can prob get exalted from the occasional WQ, World Bosses, Kirin Tor emissaries and follower missions alone.

Which is also why I don't think exalted will be THAT bad on alts, once all the campagin can be done in one day you can get ~22,500 rep just from that on new characters. Of course, this is all assuming the 1500 rep trend, but I don't think it is surprising if it continues.

As for bodyguards, I HATE using them on my druid. Damn things keep me stuck in combat, aggro random stuff, keep things out of my AoE, and are generally worthless to me as a tank. But I love using them on healers and DPS characters. I generally prefer the ability ones that you can chose when to use overall though, like Remulos for druids.

I think reforging coming back is pretty unlikely. They said they don't like the idea of you getting an item mid raid, and having to zone out to reforge the piece before using it and coming back in. And they also didn't like plugging your gear into an external website to find the best way to reforge it all, and changing all your reforges every upgrade. Stats are still a problem, but could be fixed by just trying to balance 2ndary stats better balanced, and making primary stats contribute more to DPS than secondary by a lot so higher ilvl are still an upgrade, just less of an upgrade than perfectly itemized ilvl upgrades. I never minded reforging personally, but I also really liked Hit/Expertise cap and Defense cap for tanks, so I don't think I'm the typical use case hah.

Has there been any word on what unlocks tomorrow? Maybe I've just missed it.

I assume it's just the next class campaign quest ala the Nighthold insurrection chain.

PVP BGs are a gongshow but kinda fun. Been running them to unlock the 1000 PVP Kills tint for the Woolomancer. Got over 100 kills with just two BGs, not too bad. Should have that unlocked in no time. Aegwynn's Fall on the other hand looks like it will take a significantly longer amount of time to unlock.

About 7k/12k . Almost there, I even started last Tuesday night, I have been lucky and had have 4 Legionfall rep tokens spawn on my order hall, so that has helped a bit.

Hah im at like 15-18 out of 20 complete for each of the PvP brawl WQs (for the mount) on my pally, and I've never done a single one, just used my auto complete item on them each day. Also hit prestige 1 today without ever entering a BG or arena match lol.

I didn't know there was a mount reward for those. What is it?

Got to say, Legion really is just a nice, solid expansion. I resubbed today after playing when Legion launched, just for a quick revisit. Broken Shore is ugly as hell, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hooked again.

That Xylem's tower questline was amazing.

My only real enduring issue is just... these zones. The degree of restrictiveness and verticality is totally infuriating. No zone should be as nightmarish to navigate as Highmoutain, it's insane. It was easier to get out of the game's boundaries in old WoW than it was to navigate this godforsaken hellhole of a zone.

Isn't that the same one you get when hitting prestige 5?

Looks like the app quest duration issue should be fixed

Legion Companion App

-Added support for new Follower Missions.
-Addressed an issue that caused some Mission duration times to differ from the World of Warcraft client.
-Addressed an issue that caused Artifact Power rewards to display incorrect punctuation in tooltips.

I for one really enjoyed reforging everything to Crit and having 27 yellow Crit gems in my gear... as a tank. Pandaria.

Ah, I see. When I read "steed" my mind instantly thinks of horse. I'll definitely be aiming for that wolf then. I think I just have to reach 20 at Black Rook and Darkbrul now (which are the most annoying ones)

Invasion in Highmountain and the wolf WQ has most of the wolves bugged out because of the usual evade bugs. Evading bugs are really popular this expansion.

As a prot paladin myself, I found it endlessly amusing when I tried to level the prot paladin follower (Defender Illona) back in WoD. Cue lots of cries of "Let ME keep aggro, I won't die, you idiot!" from me.

Of course, that's also with the WoD hour-or-so CD on bodyguard death.

Should we be expecting another 1500 rep quest on Broken Shore with the weekly reset? That would definitely put me into revered for dat sweet flying.

I have to admit it's a tad jarring to see so many people posting here that look forward to flying and how much they are enjoying it when they get it. Several months ago there was an extremely passionate crowd of anti flyers posting here. As someone who always wants flying, it was really off putting at the time.

152 reputation points until Revered with Armies of Legionfall. But I have done all available world quests on Broken Shore, including the world boss. Ah well, a wait until tomorrow isn't much.

Maybe an invasion will pop up, you can get resources from some of those for the 150 rep turn in I think.

man as someone who has been firmly in bare-minimum raid and mythic+ mode for a while, this new stuff is annoying as hell. I did manage to barely scrape together two 875 ilvl followers in time for the big AP mission, so when that's done tonight I might finally get to figure out what the hell the frost DK trait Thronebreaker even does (the description is hilariously vague). But I'm falling way behind in AP relative to most of my guild, and I was already pretty low due to splitting between tank/dps specs. I mean I still do fine and my guild certainly doesn't give a shit, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

on top of that, requiring tons more order resources is a real kick in the dick considering I barely manage enough for artifact research and occasional missions. I guess most people who play WoW, only play WoW, so I'm sure they're happy. But asking me to stop playing persona 5 to grind tons of world quests just makes me want to drop WoW entirely rather than keep playing casually. And yes I realize that mythic raiding and +10 keystones doesn't fit everyone's definition of casual but it was only a few hours a week to bang all that stuff out. Also playing with friends is a lot different from mindlessly plugging away at repetitive daily garbage rep grinds.

I'm aware of the absurdity if 'more content? fuck that, unsubbing' but eh. We'll see what happens in a month or two when it runs out.
