For whatever reason, I loved that game very very deeply despite a game-breaking bug that wouldn't let me continue past a certain part of the last level.

Had an original story written by the author of Berserk taking place between Vol 22 and 23 of the manga. This is the only way to do the story in a Berserk game properly because theres too much to cover for a single game. I would love a Steam release.

Sonic Adventure DX and 2 Battle (which were sort of remasters of the Dreamcast counterparts funnily enough).

I'd love to see the games remade and given not only a fresh coat of paint, but also have their mechanics and story fine tuned. There's so much about those games that I love and so much that could be made better with some polish.

Bring back Ryan Drummond and David Humphrey for it too. Good times to be had.

And this, but I don't trust the current IP owners to do it justice.

Yeah Legacy of Kain has the best story in gaming, but considering Square Enix figured the fans would want a 3rd person multiplayer shooter from the franchise well.....I imagine they have no fucking clue who the fan base of the series really was.

Metroid 2

Real answer would be the Chrono games

I'll never understand the desire for a Chrono Trigger remake. Maybe I'm the only here who thinks this but CT was essentially perfect. Some remakes are necessary, but CT is a huge exception. No remake is required to make it playable since it already is, and it can already be played on various mediums that don't require you to dig up an SNES and cartridge (since it had multiple re-releases). Let there be a new chrono instead.

Metroid 2 though I can agree with you on.

Guardian Legend, always Guardian Legend.

Ubisoft owns brorderbund's IP's so it's theoretically a possibility but I just can't imagine it in this day and age considering what ubisoft puts out. Nobody could justify the budget for making a medium to large sized game and Ubisoft doesn't put out small budget, indie sized games. The smallest they seem to get is rayman origin sized games.

Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger.

Yes, they're perfectly playable on other platforms, but this thread is about dream remakes featuring modern features and cutting-edge presentation.

Modern, beautiful remakes preserving art design and soundtrack style while bringing the games into the present with full 4K/surround sound presentation. Add in bonus/extra dungeons, quests, endings and other content (better shit than the GBA/DS ports had) and robust BTS features, including bestiaries, soundtrack players, cheat modes like the recent FF ports had, making-ofs and interviews and oh man I'm so fucking upset this shit won't ever exist after thinking about it and writing this post for a full minute but I guess I answered the thread.

My dream remake project will always be "Parasite Eve (remade by Eidos Montreal?)".

However, due to rights of usage issue with the Parasite Eve name, and the 3rd Birthday fiasco, I don't think it will get revisited... let alone handing it to the West.

Parasite Eve would be my top choice. That game still looks amazing, so imaging those horriying images in current graphics is mmmm.....

Edit: Yoooo, mie.

I understand that for Chrono Trigger, but I'd still love to see a Chrono Cross remaster on modern systems like what the PS1 Final Fantasies got.
