Oh yeah, I would definitely expect a Halo 6 reveal this year. It would be silly if Microsoft didn't show the game off at E3.
Pashmina Chief.
Blazer Chief.
Can't wait.

Nope..
Forza 7 and Halo 3 Anniversary Edition..
You'll get a 4k update for MCC as a way to celebrate H3's anniversary.
So where is the thread at? MS is not investing more into first party? Or they are, but it just won't be in games we want?

We are not ditching SP games
Why is everyone being so hard on Phil?
I think he's the perfect executive to carefully manage the slow careful winding down of the Xbox business into obsolesce without spending too much company money.
His soothing tones and touching soundbites offer comfort and hope to Xbox owners everywhere. This will surely prevent people abandoning the platform too quickly while first and third party support slowly withers away due to budget cuts.
Don't listen to these people Phil, you're doing a great job... sunsetting the Xbox brand.
They don't have story driven sp games, which going by this thread are the most important thing at the mo.
Halo 5 is too fresh and active to announce a sequel that fast.
It has been almost 2 years already.

If we are expecting H6 in 2018, announcing it this year is more than likely. So? Sequels aren't determined by how many years are in between. Halo 5 still feels very good to play. I wouldn't mind a late 2018 Halo 6.
Ori 2 leaked last year.

Link?
Nothing from the game but that it exists.Link?
Sure, I was getting at the person saying it wasn't common knowledge. I guess that could be the case for some but it is a known entity.still unannounced, so it would count for what Phil's saying.

we'll see come a month from now.
Question becomes, are they smaller titles like Ori 2 or big AAA games like SSOD or Quantum Break?
Personally, I'd take a million Oris over QB, but that's just me. And there's nothing wrong with smaller games, but if that's only what they have for SP content I could understand why some would be disappointed.

This is my worry too.
I couldn't care less for multiplayer, so I'd like a great looking big budget title, with a great story.
I was interested in QB but the TV episode between levels killed it dead for me. But I guess that was a one off hangover from the TV TV TV vision, so I'd hope not to see that again.
I'm curious what the scope of this game will be. Moon is still a small and independent studio, but there is a small but solid fanbase that has emerged around Ori since its release. Besides, it was also a successful financial venture, turning a profit in the first week and generating additional revenue via the Deluxe Edition, physical release, and merchandise. They might have the cache to up the ante, though I'm not sure what they'd do in that regard.
I'd love to see MS fund more small team creativity for SP games.
A tweet from a random Twitter account with less than 7k followers from almost a year ago? I'm not saying it isn't true but this proves nothing.
Heavy damage control.

He probably means, "We`re not ditching indie single player games".

I think it will be a CG trailer. Gameplay next year. What're the chances they demo Halo [6] campaign with gameplay resembling the actual game being made?
Damage control? Did people think that MS wasn't going to make any SP games?
It would look ridiculous on Scorpio.Playing Ryse again for free this month, really makes me wish MS has the balls to fund/purchase the IP for a fully fleshed out sequel especially to showcase Scorpio hardware.

I think the fear is that SP games will be further pushed to the side in favor of service games, especially from first party.

I think what he's saying is the AAA big budget stuff would be service based. That's not to say they won't come with SP campaigns. Gears halo and Crackdown all have SP campaigns. But they would have MP segments built for longer talesI think the fear is that SP games will be further pushed to the side in favor of service games, especially from first party.
