Hey, I am not the one to proclaim Switch version is going to sell more than PS4 version looking at sales of dqh and somehow Nintendo pushing it or giving a shit matters. The point is that a lot of these Japanese games are going to be hit or miss and there isn't a huge appetite for multiple 40 hour jrpg's. Unless the game is truly unique or special or review very highly, most of these games are going to have soft or terrible launches with long tails if it has good word of mouth and/or price cuts/promotions. PS4 and pc have a very good environment for constant sales, flash sales, promotions etc.... that attract a lot of these Japanese publishers. I am positive Nintendo Eshop is so tightly controlled by Nintendo that a lot of these publishers don't even bother bringing their games over and so Nintendo foots the bill and has full control over how it wants to promote and distribute the game. I mean there has to be a reason why square has no issue bringing games over niche games like dqh, star ocean, I am setsuna etc.... but don't bring over the Nintendo platform stuff themselves for the most part.
Edit: i know I am setsuna was published by square but for the most part they don't(notably bravely default, dq remakes etc...). Will be interesting to see who brings over dq11 for 3ds/switch to the west
