No one actually leaked the presentation. What was leaked were the games that were present at the Switch press event, so that's why a big chunk of titles like Fire Emblem Warriors, Xenoblade 2 and most of the third party announcements weren't mentioned in it.

Gotta wait for the E3 teamsters to leak Nintendo's booth setup on 4Chan again.

Not really.
i remember looking at the 12 Switch reveal leaked just a couple hours earlier like :O

It's semantics, they're saying nobody leaked the contents of the video presentation. Things like SMTV and No More Heroes 3 weren't leaked. Only the playable demos (and Super Mario Odyssey for some reason) were leaked, because the leak came from someone who saw the demos in Europe.

That live action trailer was pretty good though.
Oh, yeah, it was entertaining. I'm just saying we can't rely on a rapid fire game every minute pace.
I'm not willing to accept yesterday's Direct as a "true" Nintendo Direct. If I don't see Bill Trinen it ain't real.
You mean the Pokemon Company. They did this last time with their less than 5 minute Sun and Moon direct.
Now, see, that's a good question. Who makes pokemon directs?
Is it Pokemon complany or Nintendo?
Don't think we ever could with Nintendo.

Like, putting all this extra stuff into Pokken/Arms/Splatoon really says to me that direct should be mostly fall/holiday 2017 plus, but I wouldn't bet on that.

Doesn't help that I'm pretty deep in my Nintendo fandom and have trust issues but...I think they are just weird at times too.
I'm hoping all the stuff we've seen already won't be a big focus.

But I'm expecting it will be. Gotta stay pessimistic.
I mean, the presentation wasn't all that bad. I think people project their disappointment for the lack of Stars onto the presentation as a whole. Two (technically three) previously-unannounced games were shown off in that 8 minutes. That's not bad, considering the presentation was for one specific IP.

EDIT: Although, I do agree the way some of it was presented could've been better. Did they really have to open with talking about the Nintendo Switch? Surely they should've seen the misdirection in that.
Oh yeah no this wasn't a quality judgement. Just a pacing variation observation. The fact it was disappointing and trollish as hell is a separate issue.

The recent Pokémon Direct was presented by TPC and Game Freak. Who "makes" the Pokémon Directs is probably a bit complicated, since TPC is half-owned by Nintendo, and the Pokemon Directs are broadcasts through Nintendo's channels.

If it wasn't for the Donkey Kong by Playtonic bit this would actually be possible, even if it's just too much lol.

It would not even be remotely close to possible. Maybe if you cut it by about 75%. People always forget that you're not going to get 10 huge announcements at E3. You'll get one or two. Maybe three if it's really killer.

That's what I said too lol.

Let's hope for some of these games being real then. Believe.

Well i wouldn't say 75%. Half the games on that list are either announced already or 3rd party titles that IF they would appear on the system wouldn't take up too much time and aren't really considered new. Like Tekken, DQ or CoD.

Also there are Wii U ports on the list like Smash and Mario Maker.

Obviously we won't be gettting Pikmin 4, 2 Metroid games, Luigis Mansion 3 or Kirby but i would say 50% of this list would definetly be possible.

Obviously fake, but damn I wish it were all true. It sounds so good, smh. I'm sure parts of it will be coincidentally accurate, but man... like, Overwatch on the Switch? Switch footage of DQ XI? The reactions to both a 3D Donkey Kong and a new Metroid Prime would've been insane. And then there's that title to Fire Emblem. And Smash and Mario Maker.

I wish, man. I wish.

Super Mario Odyssey will launch on Friday, November 17th. Book it.

Wait, no, that's a bad idea. I know it's nothing new for Nintendo to launch a console game at the same time as a Pokemon game for the 3DS, but it's like... why? Even just one week would work best to space it out.

Mario Odyssey is definitely going to be targeting that date for Black Friday sales. Nintendo has done releases on two systems on the same date before Black Friday for sales like 2013 having Super Mario 3D World and Link Between Worlds. Odyssey is their big holiday Switch game while Pokemon will drive 3DS systems for those who still don't have one or want a new model.

The fakest thing about this to me is "Generations 2". XX isn't a sequel. If it's localized, it will probably be "Generations Ultimate". Unless this is implying we're getting an actual sequel announced at an American event before a localization of XX is even announced.

In line with Reggie's "Talk to me in a year and we'll see what's happened" what other game shows or conferences are happening before his year is up?

Then again, maybe that doesn't matter, since Nintendo is on it's own wavelength when it comes to announcements.

GDC, TGS...any direct any time of the year, really.

Does Nintendo go to GDC? I forget. They've done announcements around TGS iirc, even though they don't go.

Oh. Game Awards too.

They go to GDC. And they have had a couple of press conference before TGS (2006 for the Wii mote and 2011 for Monster Hunter 4 and Fire Emblem.)

Besides other conferences they can always pop a Direct in anywhere they want. Wasn't Majora's Mask 3D revealed in a January Direct or something weird like that?

I definitely think Reggie's comments mean we're at least getting a Metroid announcement (even if it's just a "Metroid Switch" or something). If we knew more about VC I'd say Mother 3 was likely at this point too, but since it seems like that's really tied into their online service (VC I mean) and that's been delayed, his quote might be...outdated now.
