I hope they have Avatar clothing drops with certain Xbox Achievements like they did for a handful of games late in the 360's cycle. Even though I was never super into Avatars, I appreciated getting extra loot with a cheevo.
That looks surprisingly good.Very cute.
Very cute.
Well hey, that's cool. I dunno how they're gonna integrate Unity into the existing apps on Windows 10, but that's not my problem. Can't wait to make a monstrosity with whatever tools we're given!
And this makes me glad I didn't bother buying any outfits when I found out the avatars existed
These look amazing, I'm skeptical that user created Avatars will look anywhere near this good or be this well animated. Would love to be wrong!
I... Wasn't expecting to. I don't know why I would be expected to.Users aren't actually going to be coding these in Unity.
Everyone's avatar will look this good. You customize it and dress it. You don't actually code it.
Others have said it too but this bears repeating. They look great
Bring 1v100 back
I am well aware, but I doubt they have a working editor for end users if they're not coming for another 6 months. These have probably all be hand made, basically a vertical slice.Users aren't actually going to be coding these in Unity.

These arent going to be available for another six months, at least. Chances are everything in this trailer was done in a professional CG program like Maya or something, and the end product isn't going to have animation and modelling as smooth as this. Especially if this is for Windows 10, where it has to work on low-spec machines as well.So they're going to release new avatars...and give people no way to customize them. Right....
Yeah. Shaping up nicelyThey look awesome! Those graphics they look like Pixar models.
Basically this, where did I say users would have no way of customising them? I'm saying these avatars have been pre-made as vertical slice examples, I doubt user created ones will look this good. These arent going to be available for another six months, at least. I at least hope I can make one with dem hips.Basically this, where did I say users would have no way of customising them? I'm saying these avatars have been pre-made as vertical slice examples, I doubt user created ones will look this good.

Very cute.
Seemed like this Avatar got a stylistic/technical upgrade to...
But at the same time as releasing this video teaser of the new Avatars, this can be found in the promo pic of the Avatars on the Xbox One X product page.
from
The 2 Avatars w/ gradient hair in the pic on the left are in the same vein as the really nice ones seen in the teaser w/ higher geometry, more detailed texturing, better lighting, etc.
So bullshot? Why are those two different styles in the same pic that was just released? Which one are we getting?
I hope the promo pic released is just inaccurate and we're getting something like the trailer.
I'd be surprised if the final product looked that good.
I wonder what happens to existing clothing that's been paid for on 360?
Eww...ok this makes me skeptical about avatars actually looking good.
Ditching the Mii look. Finally
Shown on Xbox Daily at E3.
- "2.0", built in Unity
- Gender neutral clothes

That looks kind of good tbh.Very cute.
