Ah, I kind of assumed it would happen in earlier areas too. That's too bad.
Try re-downloading the game I think that fixed the problem for some people here

The issue appears to be data corruption, so you have to make sure you have fully intact data.

If you're like me and trying to use Sharpcast -> Fire 1 Fire 3 out of Blizzard 3, it'll make you drop since Fire 1 cancels the ice stacks from Blizzard but doesn't give you a Fire stack that way. Kind of a nerf? I guess? I dunno, just gonna have to change the rotation a bit.

Haha yep, I think I'm locked out of my Mogstation account for trying to add crysta to my account too many times because it kept timing out and now it's in there I can't renew. I'm getting some error i2501 so now I get to spend the rest of my day on the phone with SE support lol.

I apologize if this has been asked before but is there anything that can be done right now about the chat bubbles being so incredibly small on PS4? I'm seeing no options to adjust text size for that stuff. Other UI elements seem scaleable still but chat bubbles are a pain to read.

I remember back in the early days of FFXI that this type of thing would happen on occasion, sometimes people would be waiting in line for hours.

"I found a nifty trick without having to blow the UI 150% and thus not having to look at the awfully big NPC and player names. When you talk to a NPC, when dialogue comes up, put on Virtual Mouse Mode by pressing L1 + R3 and then RIGHT click on the dialogue box and there comes options for scaling the box how big you want it. Enjoy!
EDIT: The box got reset if it's a quest related dialogue so be sure to do it on a regular NPC without a bubble"

I guess I've gotten spoiled. As bad as 2.0's launch was, once I eventually got in, I was fine. Same with 3.0. I've never had launch day issues with WoW either.
This is how I got to 61 in the first place. After doing 15ish Fates, I got super burnt out. I don't know how the hell we spent an entire DAY doing that to get to 50 back in ARR.

Having progressed a little further... they absolutely should have had a solo instance queue plan worked out prior to release. I'm now pretty sure they're not going to do anything to open the floodgates on the first one, because it serves as a *really good* gate on keeping traffic to everything after down. There are a lot fewer people after, and since they seem to be throttling solo instances by the actual individual instance, they can in theory raise and lower the cap to control how many people get through.
Right now seems kind of low because there's almost nobody around.
Also every time I've ridden past a line in a field instance that has them, there've been people mobbing the quest giver too, and arguing about it. Good times.

So on PS4 my NPC dialogue got incredibly tiny with this update. Chat, UI, everything else is totally fine, but the text bubbles got so small I can barely read them. Is this a common problem/how do I fix it?

Correct. It's part of the story that brings you there, so you can't just go right in.
They're out, but choose wisely which job you boost as currently 1/account.
It's a common problem. You can resize it in the options or use the virtual mouse (l1 + r3) and press r2 on a dialogue bubble to resize it.

That would mean Square gave a shit. To make solo instances queues would require work.
Much easier to tell players to fuck off and wait than do anything .
