Anyone could recommend me some multiplayer or coop tycoon, strategy, management or simulation (something like Rimworld, Gnomoria) games? I already got stronghold HD and stronghold crusader HD but I would like to get few more while sale is still on. I heard about offworld trading company but reviews were not best. Thank you for recommendations.

Factorio!

edit: don't expect it to ever go on sale, at least until its out of EA (like Rimworld)

As someone whose tolerance of horror only extends to Dead Space and System Shock 2 (i.e. not very high): not that scary. The atmosphere can be quite oppressive, especially at the beginning when you're weaker, but it's not out and out scary and doesn't have any elements of psychological horror or body horror. There is one jump scare, maybe two, built into the game, as well as the organic jump scares from "FUCK THAT CHAIR IS A MIMIC," which still worked on me late into the game because I am a buffoon. You will probably get used to those quick.

Other people are saying it's not horror sci-fi, which is kind of true but I think it is intended to be at least somewhat creepy.
Thanks, the jump scares are what concern me XD.
Well I'll consider getting it now, but I won't start buying games til 12ish hours from now (I've been holding off all this time XP)

Lords of Shadow 2

Yay or Nay?

Lords of Shadow 2 has some good gameplay going for it but also some bad gameplay; it's a mixed bag. Among its weaker points are its stealth areas, which by late game just seem pointless and only exist to extend the gameplay time ever so slightly.
I plan on replaying it soon myself, but if you like Action/Hack n' Slash style games, def. give it a play.

I picked up RE7...... Super stoked. I also Wanna pick up Neir Automata but I dont just wanna get it if im not gonna play it for months.

Everybody should go pick up Prey and Dishonored 2! Dont sleep on those games! They're worth 60, getting them for 40 and 20 is a steal. Those games are god damn incredible.

I thought pre-DLC Darkest Dungeon was actually pretty forgiving (minus the final dungeon). Characters don't die when they reach 0 health, and having good stress heals makes it really easy to deal with stress. If you account for RNG and make backup plans for when your characters miss (read: have heals and stress heals/protect), the game isn't really that bad. The most uncontrollable thing in the game is unfamiliarity - with the mechanics, and with the dungeons/bosses.

And you can brute force your way past the initial unfamiliarity with the Point-Blank Shot Highwayman and Shadow Fade Grave Robber. Not the best party comp by any means, but it was idiot-proof enough to carry me while I stumbled through the dungeons.

Alright Unexplored is pretty good! The presentation put me off at first but the game itself is so good. Just had a run where I came to the fourth floor and I had to have a torch on me at all times... then of course it goes out the moment I'm stuck in a room with a bunch of animal.XD

i'd forgotten about the terrible bike level in bayonetta

first stone award i get ;_;

Hope you didn't forgot about the shitty space harrier segment :))))

Bayonetta would be a much better game if these two were optional for chapter award rankings

i want it so badly, but im waiting to find it at a low price. humble bundle destroyed my will to buy soon

Are there any good games similar to Amnesia on Steam for ~5 euro? My GF loves that kind of horror game and we've already finished all the Frictional games, Outlast, Alien: Isolation and A Machine for Pigs, but I can't find many others that don't super low budget. I guess there's Layers of Fear, but given that it's not at its historic low price I'm thinking I may wait to see if it goes lower in the Halloween sale...

Also, has anyone here played Velvet Assassin? She loved that one and has enjoyed stealth-with-shooting-elements games like Sniper Elite v2 and Hitman: Blood Money, but she hasn't really been enjoying the newer entries of those franchises as the levels are to big and open for her tastes.

Thanks!

it is, and thats why i suffer everyday, searching the web for that deal!

But you're doing it wrong then. :) The best deal is the best price available when you really want it, not the deal that might be the historically lowest price.

Bundle prices and similiar stuff is something I only consider for games I might want to try, but not feeling an urge to play immediately.

Yea I don't get that, I couldn't have the patience when I eagerly want something, a deal is nice but just buy it and enjoy it. There's no trophy waiting for the lowest price.

Agreed, I know Kamiya likes those type of throwbacks to games that influenced him but damn, those sequences go on for so long.

Heya folks, are there any games that have a good sense of exploration and discovery? The kind of games that scratch the same itch I get from Souls games.

Though those are mostly not Action RPG's - there is still some exploration and discovery to be found: The Long Dark, Hyper Light Drifter, The Witness, Don't Starve, Sunless Sea, Salt & Sanctuary, Axiom Verge, Obduction.

A bit late but I found Killer is Dead to be horrid
Shadowrun Returns was a decent first effort but ultimately was surpassed a ton by Dragonfall (which is amazing!) and Hong Kong (which is still very good). I'd buy the triple pack.
Transistor was my favorite game of 2014
BRINK is deader than dead

haven't played castlevania

Brink was dead when I bought it all those years ago, even on launch I couldn't find anyone to play with online and the AI is terrible. I believe I've played it three times tops.

Hollow Knight absolutely nails the exploration aspect, with its astounding world design and the map mechanic, which forces you to actually explore by yourself instead of just looking at the map all the time. It really felt a lot like Dark Souls to me in that aspect.

Any suggestions folks ? Tempted to pick up Dead Space 2 at the price.

Well if you have never played Dead Space 2 before I would absolutely suggest you to pick it up. Saying it's the best in the series probably doesn't mean all that much but it used to be an amazing game and I'm sure it still holds up well today.

For someone who never heard anything of Ys, do I start with Origin?

Grabbed it thanks! I'm new to humble but this has to be a price error, right?

Yes, Origin is a good starting point. Alt. you can also start with Oath in Felghana.

What the shit...? Blackout in my house while playing Telltale's Batman, and now my save is gone.
Feel like refunding this shit.

Can I still do it for a game with 5 hours playtime already?

Thanks for the nudge on this. I played (and loved) Dead Space 1 & 2 on the 360 way back when but both are ripe for a replay in higher res and frame rate.

£5 for both is utterly bargaintasticle.

In fact, I think a lot of my PC gaming (I'm new to this) will be revisiting old favourites, but with better performance.

I got most of that list except The Long Dark, Axiom Verge and Obduction. I'll check them, thanks for recs.

Got that too. Planning to play after I'm done with Hyper Light Drifter. Good to know its got that exploration aspect down.

Seems I'm all good for exploration and discovery games :D Thanks fellas!

Anyone know how I upgrade equipment in Darkest Dungeon? How do I get Heroes Resolve, also how do I upgrade my inventory? Thanks :)

You upgrade equipment at the blacksmith, whom you need to upgrade using heirlooms. You get resolve by completing missions, which earns you xp (longer missions earn more xp) eventually leveling up your resolve. You cannot upgrade trinkets in your inventory, but you earn them from completing missions and by finding them during missions.

Edit: if you mean the size of your inventory during missions, then you cannot upgrade that.

You can try but you will probably be denied since you're over 2 hours. Did you google to make sure there wasn't a fix? Telltale has had their share of problems with disappearing save files.

SOMA is available for ~$9, that should fill that itch.

Same here. First time I actually got something from the weird sales events^^ Even if it's just a badge.

Ah, so there is - I've just completed my collection and see that I have the badge. I think that today may have been the first day by when completion was possible, so that will be why there's been no previous mention.

I didn't get a badge for it. :(

Maybe it takes a while to receive the badge?

EDIT: I missed clicking on a sticker on one of the pages. I have the badge now! :D
