Perhaps this is for the previously hinted at MyNintendo check-in type features IRL.

Interesting... I wonder if this will tie in to the summer of play campaign. Special rewards for checking in at the event, maybe? This would need to roll out imminently for that to be the case, though.

They actually had it at E3, although they weren't advertising it much. They had a rep who would scan your Nintendo QR code and you could win a prize.

I think it's a cool little feature that they could do a lot with.

They've already used something of this nature at Nintendo world store for tshirts or whatever. Probably just branded and streamlined.

Great, a new way of getting coins for rewards that haven't been appealing since the rollout of the new program.

What a great logo.

Maybe you will collect points by going to Nintendo events, stores, theme parks and movies ?

Well, that's a great reason to have the Switch online functionality as an app

And I'll add to the people saying damn, that logo is fantastic

How are they even related? The check-in for events requires the Nintendo Accounts website, not any app.

I think he's saying you could essentially emulate Street Pass and check-in functionality and have it sync back to the Switch without having to have the Switch itself do anything, but sync later on (as street pass was a fairly significant battery drain and the Switch has no GPS)

Instead of Gamestop distributing legendary Pokemons, Nintendo will hold events to do this? Hmmm...
The Pokémon Company mostly does their own thing, so I could see them sticking with GameStop distribution.

But yeah, that logo is on-point. I'd imagine that it's for earning MyNintendo stuff at certain venues (E3, for example).

...hate me...
The logo is good, but at the same time can't unsee Mario with a goatee.

Pretty curious about this trademark though. Nintendo does love to work in the AR/ARG space.
