Nintendo Switch | European Retail Releases - Overview

Source for Rayman?

Retail, Amazon and Gamestop also have that date by now.

Minecraft Story Mode might have been bumped back as Switch's eshop page just went up and it's still July 21st.

Seems kinda unlikely. Perhaps an early digital release, or simply outdated information?

No Namco Museum, is that physical in the US?

Digital only in both Europe and North America.

No Physical release of Yooka Laylee?

Only a digital release has been announced, with no concrete date either.

It is physical in Japan correct? I'm curious if they'll use one and the same version, will import if it does.

I'd assume so, but cannot say for sure. For example, the Japanese version of Flip Wars also had German/English text and all, but logos and other stuff was not localised. Now with the European version out, everything is fully localised.

I'll be waiting a few more weeks and see what the Japanese version exactly is. If it is another one I'll wait for a sale.

Touhou Kabuto V is delayed from 8 Sept to 13 Oct.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for Nintendo Switch = 22 Sept

Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition & Monopoly for Nintendo Switch both have retail releases too. Release date is still TBA 2017 tho.

Might be worth noting too that there are physical copies of Has Been Heroes about in the UK now, and they are EU specific and carry the Pegi rating, not the ESRB.

No idea when it was released, but I picked it up from Game for £20 on 5th July.

Thanks, changed the first two. Rayman is currently slated for Sept 12, Monopoly tentatively for October.

Nope, that's the extra value of this thread: to get these dates before they are confirmed :p

Yeah I missed that in the second post. Weird though I've seen nothing in shops until last week.

This thread is great for me, I'm trying to collect every physical game they release in my region (UK), and I'm using this thread to update my spreadsheet!

Where Gamestop exists, it was a Gamestop-exclusive retail title. The UK doesn't have Gamestop, so that might have been the reason for why it hasn't appeared in any store before.

It's a very useful thread btw, nice work.

Thanks!

I've heard that Cars3 is Argos exclusive in the UK. Anyone else confirm this?

Don't want to drop 40 on that game just for collecting, because it's deffo gonna be shit, but don't want it to end up one of those "crap but rare" games that sails into the low hundreds of pounds.

Ahh nice one, didn't know regarding the Gamestop exclusivity, thanks! Great thread.

It's indeed Argos exclusive. You could also grab it from mainland Europe (once it releases in September) if you don't mind the box being in a different language.

First reviews of Cars 3 were decent (scores hugely differ per platform on Metacritic; it has a 67/100 on OpenCritic). And since it's coming to every single platform out there, I don't think it'll get much rarity value in the future. But who knows.

Farming Simulator: Nintendo Switch Edition added - November 14. Hadn't known it was even announced for Switch.

An unknown Farming Simulator game for Switch was announced right after the January event. (News report sample)

I guess this is based on the console version of Farming Simulator 17. I'm very interested to see how this game performs on the Switch technically.

Nice thread! There should be one for digital as well, but maybe with all regions (since Switch isn't locked), just which languages are available in all regions?

I'm becoming more and more worried about the rate at which shovelware is plaguing the eshop compared to the rate at which new good serious effort third party games are getting announced.

...Any of these actually any good? =/
Yeah, haven't heard of any of those except Pineview Drive (and I don't even know what that is, some horror thing?).

Just imagine the shelves in a gamestore with all of these, and then the pretty limited physical releases so far... Won't look good, lol.
