Only thirty seconds long, but HOLY SHIT. Not since the reveal of the Oculus has my jaw dropped this far. Absolutely stunning and breathtaking. If this is the future of gaming, sign me up.
To review, this is setup via an HTC Vive paired with a "Mario Kart Arcade racing rig" that you sit in. Coming to the Bamco VR ZONE when it opens in Shinjuku this Friday.
EDIT: Press preview video showing the setup. Apparently there is a physical steering wheel, but you raise up and wave a Vive controller to throw items.
Crush me with a blue shell in first person if old.

Destructoid said:In the video, you can see some noticeable changes to the Mario Kart formula. Including items hanging from balloons, rather than being in blocks, and new items like the hammer. It's also worth noting that VR Thwomp looks terrifying.
Unfortunately for those of us outside of Japan, it looks like this won't be available as a home product anytime soon.
