Sean Spicer resigns as White House Press Secretary

Killthee

helped a brotha out on multiple separate occasions!
Should have resigned on day 1 when they made him go on camera to lie about crowd sizes.

I don't think an administration can force employees to sign NDAs, why do people keep parroting this? These people work for the federal government, not Donald Trump.

People having to agree to NDAs during the campaign and transition is not new news. Spicer was hired in 2016, he was not a government employee when he signed on. There are leaked copies of the NDA online.

As I've said now for the fifth(?) time, it's the threat of legal action from Trump, not the action itself. Lawyers cost money. Could a publishing house potentially cover that? Maybe. Books take time. He'll release one after Trump is out, if then.

I'm surprised he stuck it out this long. He will be missed by exactly zero people.

Not missed? Try again, sweetie.

I, for one, love adversity to transparency and especially love being kept in the dark (literally, on occasions) with regard to matters for which elected officials represent my voice.

It makes me sleep well at night knowing that we didn't even make it to the 2nd of the Bill of Rights before we started shitting all over them.

I have zero sympathy for anyone that was paid to work for the current administration.

They will be justifiably vilified for decades.

Surely everyone associated with the Russia scandal has made excellent decisions so far, why would this be any different

So then what is his purpose?
To manage the message as Trump attempts to derail the investigation?

I imagine the ultimate decision is on whether to go on the attack on the investigation or let it play out quietly, and the "attack" wing won -- which just so happens to be the people alledgedly involved.

You're a big guy.
You know a man has incredible integrity when they resign from the Trump administration because he appointed someone else as Communications director. Milennials take note, this is what it means to be a man.

My guess is Russia has dirt on them and/or they were promised something.

All of them?! Nah. Don't buy it. I'd certainly accept Trump, Bannon, Sessions, Kushner, Stone are in Putin's pocket. But there's so many on the right shilling relentlessly for the Kremlin. It's baffling.

Taking the advice of the person who said to fire Comey & not the advice of the one who said don't does seem to be the rational thing to do in this situation.

The thing is, resignations don't have any effect on this administration. It places no value on competence or optics.

I would've loved to have seen a final, spectacular, job suicide press conference where Spicer just completely unburdens himself of all the bullshit he's been forced to say.
