French people were not happy about being left out of the game to be sold as DLC, so they're leaking the edition including the French ahead of time!

Also only 1 of the DLCs is out, so you'll still have to download the rest when they come out.

How many expansions are currently out?

Just the first one plus a couple extra maps for premium owners. I'm a little worried no one will still be around to play these expansions at this rate though. The BF1 player population is going to take a hit with CoD:WW2, Battlefront 2 and Destiny 2 all releasing soon.

So is the 'Revolution' title anything to do with the communist revolution that took place in Russia/The Eastern Front, or justa random title?

Because I'd actually be incredibly interested in seeing a game handle the overthrowing of the Zsar and battles between the Red and White Armies. If that's one of the games expansions, it'd be unique enough and separate enough from the main bulk of WW1 that it'd overcome my current contempt for the idea of glorifying the broader conflict generally.

I'm not an WW1 expert, so I have no idea if it's about what you're asking, but next upcoming expansion is called "In the Name of the Tsar" and is Russia themed.

Probably part of the "major" Gamescom news. Not surprised by this.

The current DLC roadmap is just very very bad.

Should have wrapped up all of the DLC by the end of the 1 year anniversary. By the time Battlefront 2 releases, DICE will still work on Battlefield 1 DLC and additionally on Battlefront 2 DLC.

The next expansion is named "In the Name of the Tsar" and is the Russian DLC, so it could be all about that.

Yeah, was a big mistake making maps paid only this time around :/ they will be even more of a wasteland than Battlefront 1 maps or the last Battlefield 4 expansions.

Do the Doom and release them all for free, just give Premium owners some extra weapon skins in return!

I think that's why its being added to ea access so quickly. its a band aid patch to slow the bleed but it wont fix the problem, especially for those on ps4.

they should suck it up and make the expansions available for everyone and find a way to make good on those who bought premium. theres no point making more content if no one will left to play it.

So there is never going to be a German campaign? So after Wonder Woman its great to see, that were not portrayed as the overall villans of World War 1 ...

The price is going to be the key here. they cant release it for $60 10 months after launch.

Besides, the game has already sold 21 million copies. most people will just wait for battlefront 2 and the new COD instead of buying a game that was released last year.

this is a step in the right direction, but they need to sell premium to people who have already bought the game and this is not going to cut it.

just give premium members exclusive access to maps for two weeks then make them available for everyone. keep weapons locked behind premium and sell weapon packs. $1 to unlock each weapon. Every DLC has what 10 weapons? That's like $40 right there. they will get their money back and premium owners wont feel ripped off.

That's a very slow pace Dice is going there. Shouldn't they be like at the third expansion by their own standards?

Season Passes are sold, it is not a priority now. The priority is to make Battlefront 2 in time. Base game, without the season pass, has received ONE extra map in December. Outside of a few patches, there was absolutely nothing for non-season pass owners for almost 7 months now.

Consider the fact that the Russian DLC was supposed to be out quite some time ago according to their on schedule, but it is being delayed two times and then split into chunks. So you can expect the Russian (Expansion 2) to be fully out at the end of September.

At this pace, they will probably finish their own BF1 obligations around E3, right next to the new Dice game reveal.

They don't even make new skins, they just shuffle and rotate a few legendary skins together with the metallic tints.

Content release has been relatively slow for BF1 compared to BF4 but I still play almost daily. Hoping three remaining map packs get released at a quicker clip.

Plain and simple incorrect.

The first map of the expansion will release in august and the whole expansion will not release end of september because thats not possible with the 2 weeks early access Premium has. So atleast it will release mid september if not earlier

It has announced 21 million players, not copies of the game.

This edition was listed for €60 in the link.

Nothing like a gorgeous super model and a four barreled 420 swag pistol really gets me thinkin about the gritty rough and brutal trench warfare of world war 1.

What is the point of having a 2-week early access for Premium owners if the content is going to require Premium anyway?

I presume it means people that just want the new DLC piecemeal(not the Season Pass) have to wait 2-weeks to do so.

I wish they allowed servers to mix maps between vanilla and DLC. Being stuck to the same four maps in a playlist is stupid. They did it right in BF3, not sure why they continue going backwards with this.

Thanks for up-to-date information about post launch BF1 situation. I used to be a big BF fanboy but this was the last time I buy Season/Premium pass for a DICE game. As a side note, seems like BF1 PC community is about to drop below BF4 levels.

That cover looks odd, photoshopped or something
I don't know maybe it's the banners or something

This version will definitely be 60 dollars with the season pass normally being 50. My guess is they will drop the base game and pass only by 10 just to encourage sales of this version. Which is fine with me. I paid full price for the game and season pass and have already gotten my moneys worth out of it.

DICE's DLC pipeline has gone to complete shit, 1 expansion released so far is laughable. You could see these problems starting in Battlefront 2015, and it's gotten notably worse. They clearly pull the vast majority of their teams onto new projects while leaving a skeleton crew to try to cobble together enough content to justify their outdated season pass model.
