When I was a kid I left Super Mario World loop the title screen for a long time.
At one point the sequence played totally wrong.
It was like Mario went out of sync. He jumped earlier and messed the whole sequence. He died in the end. Some memory glitch maybe? Or intentional? I will test it on the snes mini.
I searched later and saw that there are hacks that let you play in the title screen but nothing about that random glitch.
