Thread of Independent, Limited and Region Specific Retail Releases

Everyone (or most people) gets their credit card info stolen from their website.

I've bought from them many times, never had a problem with my credit card. If you see suspicious transaction, you can call your bank and have them charged back. Luckily there's very little risk for credit card holders, besides the annoyance to contact your bank.

Oh right, it's just the dates that are off. It says "upcoming" even for games already out, but the list itself seems complete :)

Btw I've noticed this game was not in the doc : Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (PS4).

Released in NTSC and ASIA regions on August 8th (so pretty soon).
The Legacy Collection 1 being in the Gdoc, this one should maybe join it :D

Mega Man collection is a limited print?

Well, if you see suspicious activity on your credit card 6 months from now, at least you'll know why.

Oh god, seriously? God damn.

Nope but it's region specific. Hasn't been released in PAL territories.

Got Guacamelee thanks to you all, with $0 shipping from VGP, and without any risk of seing my card compromised since I used PayPal. So dope !

How's the international shipping with them? I remember being huge when they sold through Fangamer.

Supposedly $22 USD for a single blu-ray case + game like Guacamelee. I'm in Canada so I can't confirm it but multiple people have said that is the international shipping cost. It sucks.

Big thanks to the both of you for letting the collector community know about this surprise release! I was able to grab a copy while at work following your comments. Hopefully this will be the start of a new competitor in the limited
print field.

Same here. Pricey but worth it.

Now, for a bit of barter: I recently discovered that probably due to some wrong multiple order (too lazy to be a scalper) I have a couple spare copies of Shovel Knight Vita around. I'd like to swap for something I missed, ideally Cursed Castilla PS4.

Anyone interested? EU here.

I would bang a hot farmer!
Mine shipped on Friday and checking the tracking it shows it cleared Canadian customs today. I haven't gotten it yet though.

...guys?

This Bubsy game is actually developed by the same people who did Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams. I got it for "free" with Xbox Gold and I ended up playing it and really enjoying it. Very challenging but a very enjoyable game in my opinion. I have faith that this will be the first good Bubsy game. Will try to buy the physical not just as a collectible but as something I look forward to playing.

Just got a notification that the much delayed physical release of World to the West is shipping out.

I'm a little surprised to be honest. Figured it was more likely to be cancelled with how little attention the game got at release.

The Secret of Mana remake is getting a physical release in Japan for PS4/Vita (both standard and CE editions). No news on language options from what I can tell.

*sigh*

I almost don't even care if this is the only way to get a physical version. I'll import. C'mon SE, give us westerners a disc.

I hope it has Eng Sub. Don't really have faith in them bringing it over. And if they, probably Digital Only

Japanese Playstation releases are usually JP-only. Maybe an asian release might have multi-language support.

Not always when they have simultaneous-ish worldwide releases though. I Am Setsuna, also from Square Enix, did have English on cart for the Japanese Switch release. Same with the PSP version of Final Fantasy III. There is definitely hope.

That's why I said "usually" and you mentioned the Switch release of I Am Setsuna, when I specified Playstation releases. Personally, I'm not holding my breath for that japanese release judging from all recent Playstation releases, from Square-Enix or any other publisher.

When I initially heard The Secret of Mana remake announcement, a small sliver of my heart was hoping that Square-Enix would offer a physical run in limited quantities through their online store like Tokyo RPG Factory's Lost Sphear. Alas, nothing at the moment. Perhaps enthusiastic pre-orders for the latter game haven't been so hot and, thus, deterred future retail pursuits for small projects?

I'm unhappy with the art direction of the remake but I'm still considering this. I'm a sucker.

Curious, you've never seen or played Adventures of Mana on Vita have you?

I didn't even know they had Lost Spear in their online store. Yay more game get.

I remember being interested in getting Lost Sphear, but then I heard about SE's crazy shipping costs to Canada.

Well, if you have 4 copies in one order it ends up being about $10 per game. Not a great solution but if you know of other folk interested in your area it makes it much more appealing.

It still makes me happy every time a Vita physical game is announced. So in for Shakedown! I assume it's Vblank exclusive then.

Wof, that's gonna be expensive. The digital version is 20 bucks as is, while Germany charges high VAT; add in operational costs, physical media, and whatnot and I can't imagine that will be less than 40€ without accounting shipping fees. And that may be too high a price to risk paying a company nobody knows a thing about.

At least I hope they don't place the goddamn USK rating logos.
