I own the base game on disc. I honestly considered, the last time the complete edition was on sale, that I'd buy the complete edition the next time it was on sale if they didn't discount The Old Hunters alone. But here we are, with just the base game.

I do have a question though, if anyone knows, if I have a bunch of saves on the physical version, and buy the complete digital, do the saves carry over to the digital?

if the game from the same region,it should work, but i didn't tried it.
some GOTY version has separated titleID from the original game,so maybe it won't work if the GOTY has different ID.

Catherine for $5 is tempting

But I am worried that they might release it again on PS4

Got too many games on my PS3 backlog 😂

How is the performance of Prototype 2 on PS4? It was my one of my favorite games of last generation, and a week ago, I got the hankering to pick it up again.

Would love to know this too.

Ehhhh the more you play the worse it gets. Framerate sometimes chuggs and the loading times get to be pretty long.

Its a turn based game so it's not all bad but still, it's annoying.

The new expansion launches in two weeks that supposedly is like a real big change to XCOM2, and really improves all technical aspects and faults of XCOM2 on pc. But we will have to see how it changes xcom2 on ps4.

Just curious is Mad Max worth it at 8 dollars? I love the movies, but never had faith in the game.

Definitely worth $8. Mission structure gets repetitive, but modding your car / car 2 car combat is great, and the fighting system is pretty much a slower / heavier rip off of the Arkham games.

Great game.

Good price on Thumper? I have PSVR and would be playing it with that
Definitely. Thumper is one of the best PSVR titles out there imo. 90fps psychadelic "rhythm violence" goodness.
Rebought Bloodborne so that my lazy butt doesn't need to put the disk in anymore.
I was thinking about doing this, but...
Hehehehe... tempting to do the same tbh, but nah, maybe when it's even cheaper
decided on this.

Not gonna be playing it again anytime soon anyways thanks to backlog. It'll probably be on sale for even less by that time.

Bloodborne is $12 Canadian, that's extremely tempting. Annoying that it's $8 USD, considering the exchange would mean I'm spending nearly $10 USD but I'm complaining about two bucks here.

Oxenfree is also very close to bought.

Some think it's great, many more consider it the definition of generic stock open world design. I'm in the latter camp. It manages to add tedium and sloth to everything it steals from better games, but it's chock full of meaningless collectibles, so if that's your bag you'll still enjoy it. Car combat is okay at best.

Okay, thanks!

MAD MAX IS FUCKING AWESOME.

Anywho, how's the Ys series? I've heard good things. Which one can I start with?
Also, Zestiria is supposed to suck, right? Berseria is the good one?

How is Oxenfree? Looks pretty cool.

Pretty cool is a good way to describe it. If you like Stranger Things or that type of 80s magical kid story then it's worth it.

Ys Oath is a fucking awesome game and my favorite Ys.

Zestiria is one of the lesser Tales, yeah.

I might capitalize on the Gamestop trade-in bonus with Bloodborne, and own it + another game in this sale (Mad Max?) on PSN for the money I get from Gamestop.

I love games with choice, despite the flaws of telltale games I love the idea of choices mattering, so those are my ideal types of games.

Oxenfree as well as Dreamfall Chapters seem to have a choice based system, are they worth getting for people like me that enjoy choices made effecting the story?

Ys is excellent if you want fast-paced action RPGs with great bosses, awesome music, and decent to great story and lore. You can start with any game, but I would strongly suggest playing Origin after I and II, seeing as it was made as a direct prequel. There are also some nods to VI: The Ark of Napishtim in Oath in Felghana, Origin, Seven, and Memories of Celceta, but these are very minor in comparison.

Do keep in mind that there have been multiple distinct gameplay styles throughout the series - I and II are 2D and use the "bump system", in which you attack enemies by running into them (no dedicated attack button), VI, Felghana, and Origin use a more traditional style with an attack button and jumping. Seven, Memories of Celceta and VIII add rolling (at the expense of jumping until VIII), have a party system with multiple playable characters at once rather than the series' usual lone protagonist, and are longer and generally more story-heavy than the earlier games.

If you want what I consider to be the perfect encapsulation of what Ys is, Oath in Felghana is an excellent one to start with.

Hmmm. XCOM 2 has been on my list for a long time. I'm on PS4, and I was kind of waiting around on the expansion to see if they fixed the technical glitches, but now I'm kind of tempted to just jump on the vanilla version instead. Nobody really knows at this point if the expansion gets the load times and framerate to acceptable levels, right?

For those wondering how XCOM2 performs on PS4Pro, I'm playing for the first time right now and loving every second BUT

Everyone who says the load times are long, they're right. They're not as bad as OG Bloodborne and a good chunk of time spent in them is to prepare you for the objective, but yeah, they're bad. The framerates are mostly fine outside a few weird moments where textures are loading in or there's other weird pop-in. Every once in a while, a break between a move can feel like it lasts entirely too long.

All that said, I still find it VERY worth playing, especially at this price.
