A coworker was having an issue with her password to login into her work computer. I tried it for her and I could not login either but when I restarted the computer and used the same password it worked. What causes that to happen? An error where the password is stored or what?

This only matches part of your list, but Rememory was just recently released.
Thanks but not it either. I'm going to start thinking I imagined this movie. :( I wish I could searchmovies by tagline, because I'm pretty sure the tagline had "hell" in it.

I think the poster had a bunch of repeated images of the woman as well, reflected hall of mirrors style.

Caps lock would do that, but I assume you checked that. :p

I remembered the name today.

https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/anti_matter/

I created a fake memory myself, imagining the hall of mirrors effect. The rest of my memories seem accurate -- it did indeed release 4 days ago. I'm not sure why I couldn't find it in release lists, but it appears to have been listed as a 2016 movie in some places, even though Rotten Tomatoes lists it as 2017 limited release.

I did, only worked when I restarted unless I missed checking all caps off.

Yeah, I'm thinking Caps Lock as well.
Or possibly Num Lock if applicable.

Do you think there's anything that you can do better than Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson can do now or could within a month or so of practice?

I feel like he would be better than me at my job on his very first day and just because he is much more charismatic. But I would be worse at any of the number of jobs that he has done in the past 20 years or so.

And there are some things I can do like languages that I can speak or things like computer programming that I can do but he probably can't. But he's a hard worker so he could probably learn how to do any one of those thing better than me within a month or so.

I mean what's the point? I'm never going to be as good as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Pretty sure I'd be a better accountant than he'd ever be. He might kiss ass in a more charismatic way but if you tell me he'd be able to find the intricacies of FRS102 with ties to FRS103 to support your argument as to why refunds need to be treated a certain way, I say bull to you Sir!

Everyone has a certain skill set. Can you learn others for sure. Is the rock the greatest of all time, naw but he talks a great game

so I'm looking at an illustrated mythology book on amazon & it's got greek, roman, norse & celtic, which is cool - just wondering if anyone knew a more thorough one that includes egyptian, babylonian etc, or perhaps a good side book for those & others?

How come we (we as human race) know what planets are made of if we've never been on those planets?

Is PSN down? I cannot log in on my PS4. Did a quick google search and everything seems to be up and running on Sony's end. I'm not having connection issues on my other devices.

Is hypnosis real?

I always thought it was bullshit. Now I'm being told its real. And googling doesn't help, even glanced a big think article on it. Anyone have insight on this?

It usually works better on those who believe it's real, which is saying something. Studies have shown odd brain activity during hypnosis but it's just correlations last I heard. It's pretty common to discuss it in various philosophy courses. My old uni teachers were very split on it, as is most scientists as well afaik.

I'm pretty sure the consensus is leaning towards bullshit but I don't know for sure as evidence isn't conclusive either way. It's relatively connected to the general mystery of "what is consciousness" so it's a very difficult thing to both discuss and test. The science is still out on all of this. Check google scholar for the more serious research articles. If you can't find much, then there's probably a reason for it (boring topic, scientific method wise).

What happened to Machado? I was having a conversation with someone about Venezuela and I wanted to double check if that was where Machado was from and gone were the thread and the user.

I'm trying to find this rap video. Don't know the lyrics but there is a verse that references Goku from DBZ. It goes, something something "like Goku". It's set out doors on the streets, cars bouncing(not sure if bouncing) , women but not scantily clad. It came out 2011-2014. Can anyone help?

GAF, help me. This is a question that has puzzled me for over 30 years. As a child, one of the older kids next door saw that the moon was visible during the day, and asked me:

"You know what it means when the moon is out during the day, right?"

Before he could answer, he was called away. I was never able to get an answer from him, but it has been gnawing at me ever since.

What? What does it mean?! Someone, please tell me. End this decades-long puzzle.

My mom used to say it means the following night will be extra cold, which makes sense due to the lack of clouds keeping the warmth in. Doubt she had that scientific expertise though and who knows what your friend alluded to.

I would guess it's this too although I've generally heard this applied to a night where the stars are very clearly visible rather than the moon in the day.

Heading to Canada and bought two bottles of whiskey at a small, local distillery in New York. Is It possible they could be confiscated at the border when I cross over?

Astronomically this is an inevitable consequence of the moon's orbit. The moon is in the sun's half of the sky roughly half its orbit. Its visibility during that period will depend on the moon's phase, and the general seeing conditions. In its brief "new" phase the moon is too close to the direction of the sun to reflect any light onto earth. If the sun is too high in the sky you will be getting the fullest dose of sunlight, your eyes will adapt and you won't be able to see something as dim as the moon. If the moon is beneath the horizon you won't see it. Cloud and atmospheric pollution also affect its visibility.

Colloquially this commonplace phenomenon is sometimes called a child's moon or children's moon, presumably because small children are supposed to be tucked up in bed at night. Maybe this child had heard of that name, found it pertinent, and wanted to impart it to a fellow child.

Maybe? Kind of a let-down after all these years.
