It would be nice to get Samanosuke Akechi from Onimusha: Warlords and Regina from dino crisis. I would also hope quake makes it in given her powers I think they could do some cool stuff with her. Agrippa from shadows of Rome would be a another cool capcom addition.

All of Jill's kick attacks are taken directly from RE5, and her Feral Crouch/teleport mechanic wouldn't make sense for Black Widow.

Black Widow primarily uses the Widow's Bite wrist blasters and other gadgets like a grappling hook and tear gas pellets. She'll probably be closer to C. Viper than Jill, and even then there's a lot of room to make her stand out.

I wonder if Capcom trying to respond to the lack of female characters so they bumped down a male character from S1 and replaced them with someone from S2 (Black Widow).

I personally think that's the case. I think there was plans for someone else earlier on for Capcom who was male. Then after the roster leak and such and the lack of females they moved things around. If it balances back out by the second season pass it's a move worth doing.

Is Winter Solider a big deal? I'm just scratching my head at his inclusion over someone like Star Lord or anyone else from the MCU.

Same. He's such a dull character to me. And he doesn't have anything about him that isn't covered by other characters (bionic arm, guns etc).

WS, Hawkeye, Black Widow and Black Panther are all pretty boring choices to me in terms of their aesthetics and potential move sets.
Shame the MCU is having such a huge impact on the roster.

I know for a fact that Ant-Man was in the game at some point earlier this year, and I can't imagine why he'd be removed unless Capcom was having technical difficulties with his implementation. I'm hoping he'll be like Frank West in MvC3 where he'll eventually be included as DLC after being cut from the base roster.

I’m sorry, what? Black Panther was long overdue to join the MvC series. Black Widow is also super-popular, so her inclusion wasn’t surprising.

2009 Spencer's inclusion is baffling top to bottom when considering not only did Rearmed sell better (and reviewed tremendously better), 2009 Bionic Commander bombed astronomically at release.

4 Marvel/2 Capcom characters is weird. Crossover rosters should be balanced.

Also, I like it when avatar characters have both the male and female versions selectable, ala Villager, Robin, Corrin, etc. The female Hunter should definitely be the "face" version in all the promo material though, since the roster is so lopsided in gender representation.

It's been in multiple humble bundles for like $1, if that includes digital sales. (I didn't click the link to see if it was retail or overall sales)

Was about to point out the same - that's sorta baffling. Though I vaguely remember it being marked down considerably not long after launch - it would be amusing if it was cheaper than Rearmed.

In any case: I've never once in my life encountered a BC2009 evangelist. But you can find lots of gamers who will get misty eyed talking about the greatness of BC NES and BC Rearmed.

Man, if Slam Masters Black Widow makes in over Marvel Black Widow, that would be the ballsiest move that Capcom made since MvCI being 2on2 with no assists.


PLEASE let it be Slam Masters Black Widow, Capcom! PLEASE! I want to see the meltdowns.
