nutted but she still...

If the theory is correct about multiple protagonists after all, which is possible... maybe we'll get another trailer relatively soon? Did the GTA V character trailers all drop on the same day?

why are the graphics less impressive than the reveal trailer?

I'm sure it'll look pretty when it comes out doe

Are they really though? We didn't really see the exact same parts.

Maybe there will be separate trailers for each of the three characters? Trailer #2 being for Arthur, trailer #3 being the Native American and #4 being the female? With each trailer depicting each separate story for each character.

So is this pretty much the magnificent seven?

But the magnificent seven were good guys.

Curious to see how the make a compelling story out of this. Red Dead, while serving every Western trope imaginable...in a good way! Was a classic antihero western tale. Like many of them are.

Yes they did. I assume we'll know one way or the other when the first gameplay preview drops.

Yeah for sure.

The video info says: The story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van Der Linde gang. That doesn't tell us much, except that they mention one individual and his gang. Anything could still be the case here but if we end up switching between characters, no way will it be as many as the artwork depicts.

Or maybe it will be just in a few missions only, kinda like what happens in Uncharted 4. They are on the cover though, so maybe that is telling.

There is no strong indication at this time of multiple playable characters in RDR2. Saying that GTA5 has multiple playable characters and therefore RDR2 must have multiple playable characters is a weak argument. Arthur Morgan is the guy in the middle of the cover art and based on the hat design, is the masked bandit at the end of the first trailer.

Horizon 0, Uncharted, FF15, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed Origins. (some aren't third party, but it shouldn't matter).
The graphic on this game is maybe even or maybe even less impressive than MGSV's graphics.

I am not saying this game is ugly, but it def looks like an entry level PS4 graphic.

I could't agree more

Yeah, I really don't understand why everyone is insisting that there needs to be more than one protagonist.

While sure, its possible...I think a much stronger story arc can be achieved if the narrative focuses on one character.

New main character is what I wanted.

Oh and another reminder that blah blah blah graphics something something cry cry cry, have fun you lot.

Agreed. But the guy on previous page did make a good argument about it being also doubtful Rockstar would make that character switching system and how smoothly it all works and only use it for GTA V, while it opens tons of possibilities for RDR2 as well.

Not really feeling this main character (and his face seems to be lacking in certain expressive areas during the "where's my money!?" delivery), but the rest looks fantastic.

Trailer was a little boring, but I'm not sure what I really wanted from it. Anyone remember the GUN trailer on PS2? That got me more hyped back then. The graphics look okay. I hope the gameplay draws me in more than Red Dead did.

I wonder what other abilities similar to Dead Eye from RDR are going to be in this if there is several playable characters.

On the surface level sure, but the open world in games like FFXV and Horizon doesn't have no were near the interactivity as R* open world games. I mean just look at meridian the biggest city in Horizon, It doesn't even look like actual city.

Compared to what though? Are you trying to compare that to the cities in GTA which have much of their design lifted from real world locations? I haven't played Red Dead much, but how were the cities/towns in that?

Some of the games he mentioned? Sure. MGSV? Fuck no. Never understood the whole hype about the graphics in that game anyway.

ok i agree, and i also think that you cant compare it to a game like uncharted because Rd2 it's a sandbox. But you can compare it to Horizon and forgive me but what I just saw is a step back. I really hope that this was running on a regular ps4, maybe in 4k will be better.

Yes, but I don't think there's strong evidence either way, I'd agree, but I severely doubt that they only use the three character switching in one game, as it's still the most unique thing that GTAV had, and hasn't been attempted by any other open world game.

I also don't agree that the middle guy is Arthur, still think it's John, and that Arthur is on the far left. He had that overcoat on for most of the trailer, and it makes more sense for the glorified henchmen to be on the side, even if he's a protag. Though it's had to tell either way, I'll admit. Definitely not open and shut.

I loved the trailer, especially the scene of the cowboy robbers emerging from the darkness, which was very reminiscent of the opening to The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford.

It's so exciting that we're going to be playing a new game from Rockstar next year. :)

I'm sure its going to be great but it seems like there was a bit of jank in there not usually seen in Rockstar trailers.

If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.
I hope we get some awesome artworks just like we did for RDR1.

I was thinking the opposite,te guy on left is John,he has beard just like Marston, but the man in the middle is definitely Arthur

Are there any black people in these newer games I've only played Revolver?

No, not really. The racism was zig-zagged in Redemption. The most explicit forms of racism I remember where comments directed towards First Nation, Mexican, Chinese, and Jewish people.

I don't remember any notable black people (main or side characters) in Redemption at all.
