Cuphead is challenging and fun, played it co-op and finished world 2 on normal. A bit messy at times and you don't know what the hell is going on but once you finish a difficult boss it feels good.

It's been in development for years, it's in Early Access, but off Steam (similar to RimWorld"/'s development.

It's a space game, played similarly to Space Pirates and Zombies, but I believe it has full universe simulation where you assemble a fleet and attempt to take over the universe.

Sounds like The Universim, though it's far more focused on base building than combat.

progress a bit further on prey, but yeah, not feeling it

i love scanning enemies but tying scanning to unlocking new powers feels really unfun, specially when you have to scan every enemy multiple times with that really annoying zoom mode

outside of that can't say the game has gotten much more interesting

i feel prey is just sort of bland, the art design is really good and the story hints at some psychological science fiction thriller stuff that could be really interesting but i really dislike the bioshock packaging they gave it and all the side content so far has been pretty unrewarding and sort of pointless

i don't like this game very much, i'm thinking of going back to that xcom campaign i left midway through

Nobody would argue that Steam is perfect. The difference is that the WinStore failing to work properly in some manner is the norm whereas Steam tripping over itself is not. That and Microsoft has seemingly done literally nothing to improve reliability in the two years since it decided to take PC game distribution in-house. People still regularly have problems installing a game, downloading a patch or even updating the WinStore itself.

I gave up on Ruiner.
I don't get how I'm supposed to play this game.
I constantly want to get into a Hotline Miami-esque flow but the game just shotgun blasts you to the head for trying that, so I mostly hang back behind three barriers and try to annoy enemies with my pea shooter. It's also very likely that I just suck at the game.

Nobody would argue that Steam is perfect. The difference is that the WinStore failing to work properly in some manner is the norm whereas Steam tripping over itself is not.

I mean, i keep hearing about problems with downloading big games from their store, but never had any issue with that. Of course WinStore lacking in functionality, but for me it's no different than Uplay and Origin, just another launcher i'm not really want to use, but will use if i need to play their games. I'm yet remain to see critical problems that prevent me from playing MS games on PC. That's just unfortunate timing that Steam decided to piss me out exactly with Killer Instinct and there was few threads on gaming side that some people couldn't download shit from WinStore because it requires to redownload game files again.

I always miss the anniversary of my account since it's like one week into January and new year is always stressful Been almost five years now since I entered PC gaming. Time flies.

I didn't have or need a Steam account until I went out and bought Half Life 2 on launch day (16th November 2004). As it turned out, I couldn't even connect to Steam servers to register an account that day. It was a mix of Steam being terrible at launch and my college firewall being all sorts of silly. I was so angry that I even shot off an email at Gabe to give him a piece of my mind and I know he read it because it got passed on to some customer support dude who replied back with entirely unhelpful suggestions.

Couldn't actually register on Steam and activate my copy of the game until I went home for the holidays on 4th December 2004.
