Just listened to this episode of Malcolm Gladwell's podcast about political satire and how it's often counter-productive. I knew some conservatives thought Colbert's character was real, but it turns out... that's the norm. Same with Archie Bunker and a Colbert-esque comedian in the UK.

How? Not "how is that possible?" but "how is logic and reason supposed to reach these people?" It's like trying to debate toddlers (and that's not even when they're being intentionally intellectually dishonest).

Yep, and they always have business supporting Trump like tshirt makers that sell Trump shirts or they are a part of "conservative" media and have some shitty site or podcast. It's all people trying to make a quick buck or become famous off supporting him as president or it's the bots.

They were a much bigger issue in the DC area a decade ago. Now? Not really. (Illegal immigration was a big concern in the exurbs until the housing bubble popped, then the great recession hit, then lots of the illegal immigrants just moved home cause the economy now sucked. )

That moment after having to go through all the bullshit and venture through so many different games on different platforms just to have the basic minimum understanding of the story, only to be met with that, was the moment I just completely snapped

I just dropped the controlled and walked outside for a while rethinking how the fuck things could have got to that point

Xion is the Rank XIV member of the original Organization XIII, and appears in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days as one of the main protagonists and antagonists. She is not a normal Nobody, and is only a nominal member of the Organization. Because of this, she does not have a throne in Where Nothing Gathers, nor does she have a title or a type of Nobody to control. Instead, she is an imperfect Replica of Roxas created from Sora's leaked memories as a fail-safe in case both Sora and Roxas proved to be useless to Organization XIII's plans. While this enables her to use the Keyblade, Xion's existence also halts Sora's progression of regaining his memories to fully awaken while in his pod, something which Naminé, DiZ, and Riku recognize.

The stuff with Xion actually is bizarre but isn’t all that nonsensical in the context of the game. But oh boy that fuckin ending man. Hysterical

Anyway, if you’ve only played the first one, the biggest mistake people make is playing KH2 right after. Or trying to and giving up because nothing makes any sense

You’ve gotta play chain of memories on the GBA/ps2. It’s not skippable. Well, literally NOTHING in the series is skippable. But especially COM if you have any interest in playing anymore that has to be the next one.

It’s basically LOST: the video game series. You have to go through all of it, because nothing makes any sense when someone is trying to explain it to you; but even if you do go through all of it, it still does make sense but you brain sort of tricks you into thinking you get it

I've been playing through the whole KH series for the first time over the past year, and the anime melodrama is the best part.

My boyfriend has Kingdom Hearts II.8, and he made me watch the 358/2 Days movie and beat all of the Organization XIII data battles earlier this week. I felt like I was taking crazy pills.

Said rally actually happened! And no shit you didn't see any of "them" because "they" never existed. No Russian meddling tho.

I recall some early polling that showed Ryan a little weak in his seat. And there is value in attacking him: consider how the attacks on Pelosi land. Why not do the same to the Republican House leader and hurt the party along the way?

The way his spokeswoman tried to spin that was so stupid. "The secretary has never used that kind of language." Really? A grown, adult man has never used the word "moron" before, in any context?

That kind of lying is maybe less harmful to the country but sticks out to me as more egregiously annoying.
