adam driver is so utterly out of place in this series.
I cringe every time I see him.
This comment is cringe to be honest, he was brilliant in TFA. If you got past Hayden, youll get past this.

Adam Driver is the best actor in this whole thing

That little gulp when aim at Leia was a bit of impressive acting from Driver. I really hope they allow his character to stay a villain.
Adam Driver is perfect for this series. He plays the broken progeny of Han Solo and Leia Organa excellently.
I think it's a possibility that this scene from the teaser:
Is the same scene in which Kylo holds out his hand:

I think its so her family recognizes her when they return to Jakku. Her cutting of the buns signifies that she has moved on (insert Maz quote here). Mix that in with some JW music and you got an stew cooking.
Driver is easily the best actor in VII and it wasn't close for me.
Also, good spot. Which makes me wonder that, even if the scene from the new trailer with Rey on the other side isn't from the scene with Kylo, there's still a scene with the two of them together, and Kylo offering his hand after doing that turn of the saber, and then shutting it down.
Adam Driver is going to be the MVP of the sequel trilogy, mark my words
I see what you're doing
Stop it
........ i actually wasn't trying to do anything lol
It could be in reverse -- when Rey rejects him, he brings out the lightsaber.
Guys in all fairness
No one got to play with the depth that Adam Driver was offered in TFA. Rey came close in her torture scene
^^^^ still got that blaster damage from RotJ
Stuff like this makes for really cool callbacks, but he never got that hand replaced in all these many, many years? Really? Usually if you have a prosthetic limb and it gets major damage you'd want to replace it, or upgrade it when new tech is available, y'know?^^^^ still got that blaster damage from RotJ
To use Oscar Isaac as an example, it really doesn't matter how good he is elsewhere when his Ep.VII material has the depth of a spoon compared to Drivers. But obviously a truly great performance needs the actor, writer and director to all bring their A-game.
I hope they do more with Oscar Isaac, but at this point I can't seeing him do anything but dying and becoming a plot device to rally the resistance
In The Last Jedi, a torch is being passed. It's about the peril of meeting your heroes, facing down disappointment, and rising to fight nonetheless. Just as Luke Skywalker – reluctantly – may be passing on his knowledge of the Force to Rey, Leia is guiding Poe, encouraging him to look beyond the crosshairs in his cockpit. There are other ways to fight, other ways to lead.
”Poe's arc is one of evolving from a heroic soldier to a seasoned leader, to see beyond the single-mindedness of winning the battle to the larger picture of the future of the galaxy," Isaac says. ”I think Leia knows she won't be around forever and she, with tough love, wants to push Poe to be more than the badass pilot, to temper his heroic impulses with wisdom and clarity."
Poe's got a bigger role in this film than in TFA. It sounds like Leia's preparing him for more of a leadership role in the Resistance. I wouldn't be surprised if he's in charge of them in IX. Entertainment Weekly's cover story went into a bit of detail about it:

Vote Poe for President:
He's taking his shot!
He is literally what Anakin was supposed to be but actually pulls it off, it's amazing.
Anywho, regarding Rey's parentage, I think they will make a deal out of it, sorta, even if it turns out her parents were basically nobodies. They're certainly drumming up some anticipation about the fact that she is naturally, immensely powerful - if lacking guidance or a clear outlet for that power - just like Kylo, if not like Anakin. So if there isn't a reason for such in her lineage, I wouldn't be surprised if they stressed how that's not necessary, that some people are just naturally that powerful in the force; in a way it would be potentially be a neat little retcon over all the chosen one stuff from the prequels - a legend that just happens to fit a phenomenon that otherwise has nothing to do with it.
Edit:

Read a shit load of now legacy novels and just have a question.
So after ROtJ the empire was defeated but still had a few elements left that formed the new order Who then occupied Coruscant?
The remnants that eventually became the new order?
The New Republic?
Is this explained in any of the new books, i only ask because Coruscant is a big deal and I'm guessing most of the money that buys and pays for all the orders new toys has to come from many worlds and coruscant being the most populated one having literally trillions or so should fought for.

After the New Republic was formed, they used a number of different planets as the Republic's capital. Mon Mothma's homeworld, Chandrila, was the first.
As for Coruscant, some Imperial forces held out for a while, but after most of their fleet was destroyed at the Battle of Jakku, they surrendered and it became a member state in the Republic again.
Ok ok... So the new republic and the resistance are not one in the same but secretly they are funding the resistance I assume.
The new order was salvaged from the empire by snoke.
The new order then destroyed the new republics capitol world in TFA, none of those worlds were coruscant. Which worlds were those?
Could it be him reaching out for Luke? And its the same scene as where Luke is touching R2D2 with a (jedi) building burning?I think it's a possibility that this scene from the teaser:
Is the same scene in which Kylo holds out his hand:
Which scenes do you think showed Daisy lack of acting experience?See im torn on Daisy, I think her lack of acting experience showed up in certain places in TFA, that being said in no way do I think it was a bad performance, I think its clear she grew into the role and I am looking forward to the next film to see her have more range.
Driver I think put much more into Kylo than actually existed in the script and given his body of work is clearly and incredible actor, they discussed this on Rebel Force Radio with Sam Witwer when they were doing the commentary but the "mask acting" Driver does is phenominal, when talking to vader, when emoting, its really really really hard stuff to do and he nails it.
That is different than saying Kylo is an incredible acting performance, or an incredible character, so far to me he is interesting not iconic, but I do think Driver gives more to his character so far than the others.
