WRT Netmarble's Lineage 2 Revolution, is that the first time a game of their's have charted? I seem to recall Seven Knights and the Disney-licensed games doing fairly well.

I mean, that's not really the case even when you describe it.
The anime adaptions of Fate are just a small piece of the Nasuverse pie. They are not even generally complete. I personally would not even consider either the ufotable or DEEN adaptions anywhere near perfect despite having their pros and cons as individual works.
Yeah, KnK has sex in it. Pretty graphic actually. The ufotable movies actually censored the light novels in certain parts(movie 6 for example) cause it was a bit much.
At this point it seems like anything that wants to be a huge success needs to be both an established IP, both for because of popularity and ability to draw on a huge catalogue of whatever content to release.
Pls let destiny child prove me wrong so we get constant updates of qts.

Mahoyo is a visual novel prequel to tsukihime that shows a major turning point in the life of one of the more minor tsukihime characters. Great story, and art, and the music is also kick ass.

The production values for that VN in particular are off the charts, its so cinematic in quality in might as well be considered a movie in of itself despite being something you read. It makes the wait for the Tsukihime remake that much more painful

Anyways, I started FGO when it came out and stopped last year because I got bored. I returned back in June and now I play the game almost everyday. Events, story and battle system are fun. Im having luck in gacha (got Merlin using free quartz) but the game still hasnt a character that would make me crazy to get it. One of my friend spent more than 100,000 yen just for Sherlock.
I know it wont happen because theyre now only making Fate /cries.

I don't think some people realize just how deep the money pool is for mobile games in Japan. It's a market where you could have a game barely in the top 50 and still make decent money -- it's just that the games in the top 10 are making megabucks.
Now what if they made a proper Battle Royale game with the Fate license? I guess it would be based more on Fate/Extra (so you could have up to 128 master/servant pairs)... How much more than the infinite money they're making could they make? 🤔

Probably not, I assume it's at least partially to get the IP some visibility again. Though it does have a bunch of the old team back so it is more than thrown together as well.

Wasn't Animal Crossing Mobile supposed to release this year? Haven't even seen first screens from that yet. Point is, Nintendo really needs to step up in this market, because right now they haven't made a dent. I guess Fire Emblem mobile fell off the map

What a weird situation, it kinda shows that Sony's still a bit of a structural mess if they can be the number 1 mobile company but have barely any of it due to their actual game division.
As far as ForwardWorks goes, didn't Everybody's Golf do fairly well when it launched? I assume it's dropped off a lot since then if ForwardWorks is doing that poorly?

Aniplex (which is under Sony Music) does production/publishing/merchandising for these two particular series, which comprises of more than just the games. The two games are also being developed by external studios. So no, not really a mess at all.
