If they buy a studio that needs Kickstarter to fund their games, I can't imagine the budgets being bigger than 1.5 million-6 million per game. So if they buy 6 more studios that operate with budgets between 1.5-6 million a game turn a small profit and bring in gamepass users it's relatively cheap way to grow. I don't work in the game industry so I don't know if you can turn out a compelling game for those numbers, but I think you could. If they have a massive hit and they would get a bigger budget. I hope Microsoft isn't buying all these studios and giving them 100 million dollar budgets right out of the gate.

Over the last 10 years or so Boxing Day has slowly lost it's status as the predominant sales day and it has shifted to Black Friday (which was never even a thing here). There are still sales on Boxing Day but imo the Black Friday sales are better.
The thing with boxing day is it's the day after Christmas so I can kinda see why Black Friday took over as it is more convenient to buy gifts...

I think so. Not sure if it's the same deal you're mentioning but my brother bought like 2 years worth. I missed out on it, but at the same time I'm fine giving them $10 a month for what they're providing. But if a deal pops up again, I'm going to load up!

Ah. Haha! I think it's the opposite here in the US! While Black Friday is insanely big and there's no signs of it ever slowing, in the past 10 years I see online and physical retail stores trying to hype up consumers for the "Day After Christmas Sale!"
Very rarely do I see them explicitly say "Boxing Day"

best game pass infomercial ever. The new head of the b/c program said "stay tuned" in regards to more original xbox games when asked on twitter after the infomercial.Yep. A two tiered approach would be interesting. Or a version that includes Xbox Live Gold.
It wasn't a press conference and was never intended as such! It was a weekend fan fest from Mexico that they did a live Inside Xbox from.
Inside Xbox shows have aways been shit / disappointing. Internet hyped it into something it never was, as usual.

The hype around X018 sure made it sound like its a big deal. Even Xbox owners express their disappointment.
2 new RPG studios announced I am pretty damn happy personally. Don't know what more to expect for a fan show 12-24 months before the end of the generation. Also some high quantity gamepass games announced

They announced two acquisitions. That was the big deal. Other than that it was a standard Inside Xbox show. I thought it was ok, because I know what Inside Xbox is like.

Acquisition news isn't that exciting to be honest. If that is the highlight of the event, then its really disappointing.
I just wanted to see new game announcements to see if MS can entice me to jump back to the Xbox platform.

Trying out the free trial for gamepass, and holy shit is the microsoft store fucking awful. Can't find anything, and so much of it is only available for xbox. Downloads take all day. Can't even create control panel profiles without first starting the game because uwp doesn't grant you permission. Can't create a profile through rivatuner either. Thanks microsoft for completely going out of your way to make something as needlessly complicated as possible.
