Community Manager from Xbox Spain close her personal twitter profile after being harassed for sharing a PS4 game on her personal account.

Yesterday the hashtag "#CM de Xbox" was trending topic in Spain for this problem.

This is the tweet that started everything:

For this publication I stop following @Xbox_Spain clear that you can play what you want but more respect for a CM work, I do not care that I will be criticized, is my opinion and my right to stop following a CM Xbox that I said at the time: the enemy at home.

The saddest thing of all is that nobody does anything, we are helpless and we have to swallow while they laugh at us, to know how many years we are going to be like this.

What a "web" that has been messed up by giving MY opinion of disconformity in MY Twitter to a CM of Xbox with education and without disrespect even calling me a harasser, the HARASSMENT I'm having it with insults of all kinds, if you can not OPINATE and turn off and let's go.

Alejandra Pernías (@alejandrapb89) Twitter has been erased by the INQUISIDORS of Lo Gamer, who have attacked again. Reason? That four dummies see incompatible to be the CM of XBOX and to play Overwatch in PS4.

The CM of @Xbox_Spain has closed its personal twitter because of the criticisms received. You may be wondering what madness it has done. Put a picture of a PS4 game in his personal account. I've been looking a little at the cocksuckers who have told him everything and...

Context: The Xbox CM comments in her PERSONAL account that she has purchased a PS4 game. The Xbox community harasses her to the point of having to delete her account.

Alejandra Pernias, CM of Xbox Spain, uploads a photo saying she bought the OW on PS4. Fanboys of Xbox ask for her head, they say they don't want her in the brand, they don't represent her, they insult her, they harass her for hours. The result?

I try to enter the twitter of @alejandrapb89 and I find that it has been deleted. Right now I just feel disgusted with a community that is unable to have two fingers in front of it, to be blinded by stupid favorites that lead to nothing. You help nothing.

Know that those of you who have been harassing the CM of @Xbox_Spain are a disgrace, what the fuck do you care if the girl buys PlayStation games?

She should def be fired 🤬😤🤯

If the thrust of the argument was "she did her job poorly and should therefore lose it" I would disagree heartily in this context for a number of reasons but begrudge a sort of point in a vaccuum. That said...

Deserved for stupidity alone.
well u should be repping xbox only since thats your job. u should keep your personal gaming choices....personal.

The sentiment here seems to be "don't be perfect at your job even in an understandable way that hurts literally no one and you deserve to be abused and threatened by strangers." Gross.

The sentiment here is don't be an idiot when you're the community manager of the company, every post and reply are critically important in social media. Someone else deserves that position.

Even the heads of the gaming sectors (and even Nintendo heads) have fucking other consoles. The only idiots that fight over this sh*t are people like some in this thread. The woman posts what she wants in her fucking personal account, and this doesn't fucking have anything to do with her job or how she handles it. A fucking picture does not qualify or distrust her competence at her lead as CM.

If you think so, you should take a walk and refresh the way you rationalize reality.

I assume that everyone who works for Chevrolet drives a Chevy and everyone who works for McDonald's only eats McDonald's... Right...

No but I would assume the community manager wouldnt post about directly competing products on his/her twitter. what worse is that she posted a multiplatform game too.
Not saying she should be harrassed for it. but its pretty dumb on her part.

She posted it on her personal Twitter, as long as it's not in an official capacity it shouldn't matter. These are jobs, not a show of corporate allegiance, that's psychotic.

Am I the only one who think it's better (or at least indifferent) for the Xbox image if their CM is not constantly trying to shove biased opinions in my head by showing always Xbox versions because 'it's the greatest experience' and all that marketing bullcrap? You would expect that from an official account, but I still distinguish between the person behind the company and the company as a sort-of-person.

Of course you should identify with the company you're working for and most probably she owns an Xbox, but maybe her friends playing some multiplatform games on PS4, that one game you want to play with them (and I wouldn't want a friend of mine trying to convert me to buy a product from their company instead).

No reason to harass her. On the other hand, I wouldn't close my personal account. Block idiots, don't give a shit, be done with it.

I'm ashamed of my own country.
Being spaniard is suffering.

I can imagine, when rocking that accent and everything. Just kidding! :p

No really, this is shameful. This is why I've never associated that much with people in the gaming "community" (I hate that term, people are members of communes because they like something? Sigh...whatever), there's just too many embarrassing people in it. People with personal hygiene problems, lack of basic grooming, fanboyism and other isms that get exaggerated and portrayed as if everyone that plays videogames behaves in the same way.

On one hand, she should be able to enjoy her hobby any way she likes. The fact that she enjoys games on any platform probably means she is a level-headed person, and that makes her a good community manager.

On the other hand, even what she posts in her personal twitter account could be misconstrued as promoting a competitor's product, so some discretion is advised there.

In no way is the behavior of the ravenous fanboys justified, nor should it ever be encouraged.

Im like thats great she posted about some ps exclusive she liked .. but its a game that the best version is on xbox .. so wtf lol

Shaming the nerds on twitter when like 80% of the fanboys here would do the same is pretty funny.

OT: Should be able to post whatever tf you want on your personal account. This brand cheerleading shit is just pathetic.

Personal twitter or not its still public. She works in PR. She should have known better.

It was her own personal account not the PR one. It's as if you took a picture of what you actually use on your personal Instagram then got fired

There's a major lack of understanding that the internet of today is no longer a personal domain. People may want to exist as themselves on platforms like Twitter but they can't because they will inevitably end up representing the company they work for (especially if made public!). I don't think they should complain about it because those services exist so that people can benefit their 'personal brand'. Unsurprisingly that can work for you as much as it can work against you. People should be talking about it more.

Like, she did nothing wrong as her own person but obviously she can't represent only her own views or interests when everybody knows she's an employee of Microsoft.

Once people know where you work , you are now a representative of that company whether you like it or not . You are always on the clock whether you like it or not. The whole "My opinions do not reflect that of my employer..." or whatever it is they put there, guess what it does whether you like it or not..

With that said I feel bad for this person. It seems like a "Hey I like this what do you guys think ?" Kinda post ...just so happens it was the wrong color and letters on the box .Messed up ..

On the one hand, fuck that guy for this kind of toxic "if you're different you're the enemy" mentality. On the other hand (to the CM), come on dude is not quantum mechanics.

this is the kind of victim fetish shitposting i would expect over at the other forum. nowhere in my post did i mention being harassed over this was ok. but if im the freaking CEO of Mercedes Benz I probably shouldn't be driving around in a BMW.

This is pretty damn sad, really.

Shuhei Yoshida has been giving shoutouts to Nintendo and posted plenty of pics of him playing Nintendo games this entire gen along with his PlayStation. Grow up children.

Ugh. All this mindless tribalism makes me sad.

So... someone working for Microsoft should only play Xbox, someone working for Sony should only play PlayStation, and someone workin for Nintendo should only play Nintendo? If a PS game was posted on the corporate Xbox Community Manager account, I get it, but a personal account? This shit is getting ridiculous.

I’m glad I never wanted to work in the industry as I’d be unhireable - I have always played across all platforms.

This petty bullshit really needs to stop.
