Worst case was Square Enix removing The Last Remnant from Steam because they were releasing a remaster on PS4, it never got a PC version.

I have the original on PC (steam) that you can't get anymore. Will this update version be on PC eventually?

I played this back when it released on PC (when was that again?) and remember it being a good game, but a bit on the short side. It's been so long since I played it though that I don't really remember it (I smoked a lot of weed back then) and pre-ordered the PS4 version to play through again and be reminded.
One thing I do remember is that they said this was supposed to be considered as close to Ghostbusters 3 as we were going to get. I guess at that time, they never intended to make another GB movie. How times have changed.....

I remember staying up till 5 in the morning playing this on the 360. Great game. Will have to get it on PS4.

Release is Friday, looking forward to it. Have we heard anything specific about platform differences yet, as in pro vs PS4 and X versus S? Surely this will be 4k 60 or 4k 30 at the very least.

I was affected by the MP glitch on PS3 that rendered the game impossible to Platinum but I'd love to complete the MP this time.
Multiplayer is being "rebuilt from the ground up" and will be released post-launch as a free update.

Yeah. Although all this time since I pre-ordered they never had a release date, and only today they send me an email saying they updated the release date and they're despatching next week. That was a nice abrupt surprise.

really great game. i remember being so disappointed with the Atari 2600 Ghostbusters game when that came out and by the time i played this, i was like, "Finally, this is that dream game i imagined decades ago".
i never really got a "this is a third movie" vibes from it though, it felt more like a "reboot" since so much is lifted directly from the first film. still if you're going to make a GB game you can ask for worse places to lift from...

Fuck that golden slimer glitch from the original releases multiplayer where it would never spawn.
Purely based on the memory of that alone, I'm glad there isn't multiplayer.
Unrelated but I wish Ghost Hunter would get a remaster or something. That filled the void of never having a good GB game for so long. A forgotten underrated gem. Loved it.

Ah good. I loved mp in the original release. It wasn’t anything ground breaking but catching ghosts with friends was very cool. Beam type swapping, co-ordinated trap wrangling and of course throwing tired quote after quote at each other as we played was old man nerd nirvana.
Glitches need fixed for sure. I bought the special edition with the GB2 suit and it was glitched from day one with the GB1 arm patch logo over the top of the GB2 one.
Fantastic game though. I love the storyline and how It links the first two movies and creates a grander universe. I’ve always said they should strip out the voice work and make an actual 3rd movie out of the game as either a Pixar style or full animated film with the lines.

The physical version is exclusive to gamestop in the US.
But it is available everywhere in the UK and I'm guessing EU too

I got the glitch where playing the MP in the first month made it impossible to unlock Payday, Employee Of The Month, and Ghostbuster Of The YearFuck that golden slimer glitch from the original releases multiplayer where it would never spawn.

From what I've played, this is a straight port.
Cutscenes are a mix bag, theres FMV and Real-time Cutscenes which are great, and then there is Real-time Video that mask loading which don't look good.
Still the game is fun and has that Ghostbusters Charm, I'm not too sure why people said this was like a 3rd movie, seem more CG version of The Real Ghostbusters with the Real Ghostbusters lol.
