Cyberpunk 2077 delay to September 17

Management problems. Game started in 2012, they shifted the team to Witcher 3, after Witcher 3 release the new boss changed the whole game from the Cyberpunk vibe of the CGI video to a GTA clone with FPP view and sponge bullet enenmies. They realized the game in the current state won't meet expectations.
Glassdoor reviews shows the company with management problems.
They shoudl have stayed woth TPP games.

Uh oh, how did I miss that? My interest in the game has increased in the last few months so that's a bummer. Ultimately I prefer that they ship a game that is finished and polished and doesn't need a 50GB first day patch to run properly.

At the end of the day, I'd take a more polished game that's delayed than a rushed product that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I can wait.

Oh! That's the date for my birthday! This happened with GTA V in 2013 when was delayed for September 17 and turned out to be one of the best games of the generation. Cyberpunk 2077 is destined to be a great game!

Didn’t Watchdog Legion also get Delayed out of March? Almost as if they thought they were too close to Cyberpunk’s release date, Wonder where that gets released now since ce it never got a new date. I’m also looking forward to WDL

And suddenly, every game square to release that month let loose a sigh of relief.

Doom Eternal - Delayed from November to March
Last of Us 2 - Delayed from February to May
Final Fantasy VII - Delayed from March to April
Cyberpunk - Delayed from April to September

Then Capcom comes in with its big fucking black dick and is like

Resident Evil 3.jpg

April 3rd. No delays. Boom.

Atlus too I think with Persona 5 Royal. No delay there either I think.

The game was 3 months from release, yet we still haven't seen what the console versions look like.
That alone should've raised a red flag that it would get delayed.

I’m not bothered by this. I still find it hard to believe they’re having an easy time with shooter elements when that’s not their background. I adore Witcher 3 but I’m still concerned that this game is too big in concept for them.

At this point I won't be surprised if they cancel the old gen console versions alltogether, and say everyone who pre-ordered will get the PS5 SexBox copies.

Meh. How long has it been since that initial trailer? 7 years? I got lots of shit to play before buying something else

For my birthday !
Well I thinking how I could finish FFVII remake before cyberpunk, now I know!

It’s always annoying those reports but I have faith in them.
It’s for a good reason.

All these games delayed for next-gen launch will actually make launch years for these consoles... not shit. This is actually exciting ImO.

This is what the current AAA model for games entails last gen almost every company had no idea what to do thats why companies pushed so hard for season passes and drip feed content. Now all a comapny needs to do is release one game a gen or make a BR game or a fad game with tons of mtx and just hit the cruise button and there solid.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL i have to tag that dude that believed cyberpunk was not being delayed.

@Verdanth

i wonder what other game gets delayed on your list xD
Dont worry more games are about to get delayed as well Ghost of tushima and TLOU2 are about to get another delay I also think RE3 will get a delay i saw gameplay for that Resistance mode needs and it still needs alot of work.

It sure feels that way. Less games per publisher, with lots of mtx to supplement the lack of new releases.

Nintendo has been doing this for a while (except for FE and Pokemon)

Was always gonna wait until the next gen version anyway, so I'm fine with this news. Take your time CDPR, the last game you made was a masterpiece and we expect nothing less from this one!! :messenger_ok:

This is great news because now I only need to avoid spoilers for 2 months while I wait for the superior next gen version (which will surely launch alongside the PS5) rather than 8 months 🤣
