Vega64 was a terrible card, not a good comparison.
Both consoles have hardware based raytracing but we dont know how its achieved. Supposedly AMD solution is not dedicated cores like nvidia.

I just thought about this the other day and came to realize we didnt had a gta game this whole generation. The gta 5 remaster does not count at all.
So with this in mind does sony have problems with getting games ready for launch?
Cuz we will have a hell of a gen if games will take forever to be made.

It's gonna be fucking crazy. I think I'm more excited than I was in 2013, because back then, GG and ND werent the developing titans they are today. Obviously SSM did have a massive reputation back then as they do now, but the others have lifted themselves up alongside them (Insomniac too).
Not just creatively but technically too. It seems to me all these devs are super skilled in pushing the technical boundaries so lets see them unleashed on PS5 as baseline spec.

Looking at the graphics side and the Sony side, almost all studios have reached levels close to ND in PS4. In the PS3 generation, ND was above all, say, on Olympus.

Every source is saying the same thing, that RT is much, much better on Ps5. So this intrigues me.
There are other areas, like CPU being better on SX, or GPU better on Ps5, but the numbers are essentially so damn close it won’t make a damn bit of difference. The only other unknown thing is the ram situation but that will likely be a wash too. (And as for the SSD I won’t even go back into that can of worms. It wont make much difference either.)
So yeah, the RT stuff has me scratching my head whats even going on.

Its been 30 minutes and nothing happened. If people are going to make vague teases like this they should specify and if things dont pan out, should get a warning or at least a temporary ban. We're on edge waiting for a morsel of information, lording things over people like you know something and nothing coming from it is in really bad taste.

Not much much better. Just somewhat better. I'd expect the ray-tracing to be rather close between them overall; it's not like MS is a slouch when it comes to creating/co-creating (with Nvidia) ray-tracing solutions on PC.
I mean realistically, can't expect one to have ray-tracing eons ahead or by a wide gulf over the other, knowing what place ray-tracing will have for game developers regardless of platform heading into next-gen and throughout the decade.

Brah... Brah... I’m just saying what’s been said in all the leaks. It seems to be the most commonly repeated thing said. That’s why I’m interested in knowing what’s going on, because I don’t quite understand it.
I’m still firmly in team SX > PS5. Not by much, not by anything that will ever matter in any sense of the word. That’s exactly how I want it, as well, so that both are on par. But god help MS if they price it higher. If they had any sense they would price it lower.
