Looks like Sony is going with the same approach as Microsoft:
Sony will continue supporting and developing AAA exclusive games for PS4, even when PS5 launches for a couple of years.
According to Jim Ryan (CEO of SIE): PS4 will have a critical role for Sony and "remain the engine of engagement" until May 2022.
Also, very interesting, now for NEXTGEN is also following Microsofts approach here, providing an alternative to local gaming via Streaming:
It's exactly the same as MS is doing. Allow everyone to buy Discs or Download games, of course, but also allow them to stream games.
For the first time: Streaming will be a mainstream business model for Sony.

Very interesting how Microsoft and Sony have a very similar, almost identical, approach.
Both will support their current gen console for a couple of years even after the nextgen console launched. And both will invest in Streaming and see it as a "Mainstream Business Model".
