Yeah it is then Matt chimed in on tht github so many fanboys were holding on to. You mean the github with no RT solution right 🤦‍♂️😂😂😂 from testing awhile back???

Yup its on the wall. I'm bookmarking you bcus we all know both these consoles will be in double digits.
Yeah I agree with you, Matt and Klee have both denied the Oberon leak, it is not representative of the final console, and I thought all posters were saying that a 2000 MHz GPU in a console wouldn't work, what happened now??

If you think Switch price is relevenat to how Sony and MS set their pricing for 10 TF you are delusional.

Why dont you go on the nintendo threads and talk about all those lovely hand me downs ?

I play on a LG 55 OLED in 4K, I have eyes, I also have a toaster thanks. Please stop about Ninetdno, I am just laughing at you.

i play on a 55 oled o gawd look At me. Im laughing at yo pathetic ass

...lacks reading comprehension.
The github leak while real it's not up to date I don't even know why people keep bringing that shit up.
Oberon leaked data was for a B0 stepping! We now know oberon is at E0 stepping according to rogame guy on twitter.
XSX chip seems to be a D0 stepping according to Colbert from era.
Steppings (A, B, C, D, etc) means that there was a major redesign of the chip, which is something expensive for companies btw.

Jason, Matt and Klee all said the systems are pretty much close, there won't be a major difference between them in therms of performance.
At minimum expect a 10.25 TF PS5 and at best a 13 TF GPU.

I'm personally expecting the difference between both consoles to be between 1-1.5 TF, which is not significant.
That's less than the difference between a RTX 2080 Super vs RTX 2080 Ti and somewhat the difference between a RTX 2080 vs RTX 2080 Super, in real world performance you'll get like 3 to 5 frames difference with the same graphical settings but... games are tailored to both consoles, so it's meaningless. But yeah console wars will continue even if the difference is 100 MHz, no doubt about it.
But 3 TF or more difference? At a similar BOM? Not happening. Feel free to bookmark me!

Regarding BOM, Zhuge said he expects the PS5 BOM to be between 450 and 490 and XSX between 460-520.
The bloomberg guy talked about 450 but none of these things are confirmed - the dude was wrong several times in the past too.
So yeah regarding retail price don't expect a 400€/$400 console or you'll be dissapointed, it simply won't happen, even more when price for certain materials is rising.
If PS5 BOM is 450 that doesn't include manufacturing, packaging, distrubution, etc, and sony is not in the business of losing money! Same with MS.

Again, If the performance between the two consoles is identical, there is no reason for sony to have the console cheaper than XSX and that thing won't be less than 500.
Another reason could be that MS decides to go below 500 with XSX, which won't happen because they'll have lockhart as a cheaper option.
Which to be honest I don't think it will make a dent on playstation sales wordwilde, at best it will help MS sell more on the US, UK, Mexico and that's about it.

Steppings are not major redesigns. They are bugfixes of existing designs. Hint: Sony went from Ariel to Oberon. That was a redesign. Not a stepping. Redesign = architectural design changes, like number of CUs or raytracing hardware. Regarding a stepping, the number is typically used for minor fixes and the letter is used for more complex fixes. But neither one changes the architecture that they are working with. They just show how hard to solve the problem was. Oberon going through a bunch of major fixes suggests that it has yield problems (probably related to running at 2 GHz, that means they can't use a portion of the chips they make). And they are working on getting rid of those. Not adding more performance to it. They might even make a late decision to go back to 1.9 or 1.8 GHz to increase yields.

If anyone runs that 2Ghz ina consumer console they better take out extended warranty lol

Cant see it happening, dont believe it.

many modern PC graphics cards can easily reach 2GHz with some good fans. I have an overclocked GTX1070 that goes up to 2.1GHz and the fans get only slightly loud enough to be noticeable during these boosts while remaining relatively cool. so if the cooling is there this should be doable

It doesn’t fit the form factor.
2GHZ would cool better in XSX tower design.

we don't know the form factor, and I really reaaallly don't believe the PS5 will look like the dev kits. maybe it will be tower like as well? we don't know, could be... PS4 and PS4pro dev kits look nothing like their retail counterparts either so 🤷‍♂️

They used a tower to test PS4 games with the new SSD but I expect/hope they stick with the V since it looks better.

I got 2 OLED and a well payed job so I dont care if consoles are 2000 each, got 4 ps4s lol, you have to ask your mom for your cheap crap fisher price / Nintendo plastic tat . Weep little Ninendo fanboy.

Bet you enjoy your little amiible toys or whatever they are called, and got little dolls as well

I will ignore you now as your just a Nintendo fanbioy and I dont care

Lmfao dumb ass ok believe what you want. Yet my post here has been all about PlayStation. Your just a triggered scurb that got to try and toss his Epeen around. Anyone can say i have 4 ps4, a Bentley, a Fortune 500 company that rivals Amazon on the internet buddy. Get trigged some more its lovely. End of the day price matters to consumers and you could not come up with valid arguments to prove other wise. So you resort to attack... Scurbbbb

But since you want to toss a Epeen around. What i dropped on Mafia city a mobile game is more then both of your OLED and Ps4 combine. Nice try

MS has simply more wiggle room for upclocks because of their cooling design.
Sony already pushed the clocks to the limit.

thats why the xbox will have a slight tf advantage at the end.

Tales from your ass. It's been rumored tht ps5 has the edge, even with the upclocks it will still probably fall a little under. You guys act like you can upclock the shit out of consoles by teraflops. lets not forget new rumors tht have ps5 with a good expensive cooling system and can and will do the same if need be.

Microsoft has no advantage if anything Sony's advantage is having Cerny who knows these systems in and out.

An APU has other things besides a gpu to keep cool though the cpu is gonna add heat and the RT arch I'm sure will. I can't see a sustained 2ghz personally but apparently they have spent a pretty penny on cooling so we will see

GameStop likes you :messenger_grinning_sweat:

But to be fair, there's a lot of people that pretty much just afford and play used games, trading titles in to get more used games. Those people will not go to an all digital console as while the CONSOLE itself might be affordable, they can't afford more than a game or two a year. People who spend a lot of time posting on the internet often don't have that issue, but let me tell you, lots of people in the really, real world DO.

It's easy to sit back and say "just save some money FFS!" and talk like it's not hard, but life IS hard for the majority of the world. Life is hard for the majority of people on this planet. I don't see physical media going away just yet. Digital is NOT cheap enough. MAYBE, true 5G will help change that. Maybe.. Oh...and that's if it doesn't just give us all testicular cancer! Good times!

Time to pre-order guys.

Many, many, many many, maaaaaany years ago, I used to work retail, and never once did one of these things ever mean dick. People put their names name for anything like this as long as they don’t have to drop dollar for a pre-order.

If this list was “£50 pre-order and names” I would be more inclined to buy into it.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s going to be pretty much like this anyway with PS5>SX 2:1 regardless of spec/price.

Oh and as for the 4 PS4’s guy that’s adorable.

As long as the form factor is the same as a PC tower, not seeing it happen in something that goes

And how are you supposed to know this? And please, don't you say that leak...

Cant see it happening, dont believe it.

I mean this is a bit conspicuous

“Most of the components for the console have been locked down, the people said, including the cooling system, which is unusually expensive at a few dollars per unit. Typically, companies would spend less than a dollar, but Sony opted to lavish more on making sure heat dissipation from the powerful chips housed inside the console isn’t an issue.“

There are other things that will need to be factored into cooling rather than just the APU. GDDR6 runs quite hot and SSD that utilize PCie 4.0 also get very hot. Storage wasnt something they had to factor into cooling last time this time it is. With the storage most likely embedded into the board I imagine what were looking at is a large vapour chamber cooling solution.

These are APUs. PS5 will be a BBQ, like the PS3 was a George Foreman grill.
